The Iproven brand is excellent. I purchased a blood pressure machine 2 years ago and it still works very well. I lost my battery door somehow, and reached out to Iproven. Their customer service was professional and effective in helping resolve the issue. I would rate them 100/100 if possible.

The Proven digital thermometer looks like any other digital thermometer at first glance. The box was appealing, with some of the most important pros right on the box, such as "fast, 10 sec", "flexible", smiley face indicator, and "switchable" from Fahrenheit to Celsius switching capability. It comes in a clear case, to avoid easily damaging the thermometer, to keep it clean, and to make portability easy. It's super easy to use, and has easy-to-read, simple instructions right on the back of the box, for people like me, who HATE reading instruction sheets! It also tells you what the high temperature range is, especially for those who think 99 degrees is a fever. ;) There is a really cool smiley face indicator, with a smile indicating a temperature < 99 degrees, a "meh" face indicating slightly elevated temperature, and frowning face indicating temperature > 100. I also love that the tip is flexible. I really could've used this when my kids were small, as the thermometers I used had stiff tips, which only made them more angry, because it was comfortable too! Most importantly, it's priced right! This thermometer is perfect for anyone of any age, and I would highly recommend it to anyone! *I would love it even more if it had a low temperature indicator, especially for premature or small infants, who are less able to maintain their own temperatures, and are more likely to have low temperatures when sick, rather than fevers.

We used the optical non-touch thermometers for a while and loved the convenience. Then my wife got quite ill and her temperature readings became very important. We discovered that the optical thermometer's readings were not very accurate at all. This was a step back for us to an under the tongue device and yes it does take about 10 seconds to deliver a reading. But the readings are very accurate and the device is very easy to use. Be sure to buy the disposable plastic covers for the device and the mini-alcohol wipes to clean it after using.

Fast shipping and great product. I was tired of paying $10+ for a thermometer at Walgreens or CVS and in no time the battery is dead, so there is another $3.99. So when I saw this one on Amazon, I decided to try it. It works just as listed and I highly recommend it.

I had to have the first unit replaced since I thought it was defective but the second unit worked the same: - Hard to get the blasted thing to turn on at first. I have to press the "on" button in a specific location to get it to turn on. Both units did the same thing. - It's also fussy to take a consistent temp. reading. To check it out I first took my temperature with this unit and compared it to an old Becton Dickinson mercury thermometer (ancient but ACCURATE), then to an another electronic thermometer I've had for years (also a B&D). Those both read my temp to exactly the same value, well within 0.05F of each other. The iProven unit sometimes was 0.1F below, 0.4F low, sometimes spot on but never higher than the other two. I did this test 5 times, waiting 3 min. between temp tests of each thermometer, then did the same tests with my son 5 times; sometimes spot on, sometimes 0.4F low. I had to laugh at the "QC Passed" sticker on it, "quality" here doesn't mean accurate apparently. - Unlike some commenters I did not find the beeping sound to be too quiet ,it was easy to hear for anyone in my household. - Considering this unit is on the higher-end of the price range here on Amazon it's a crummy deal. I found if you wait until AFTER the beeping is finished to remove the thermometer from your mouth it's more consistent. Unless you're using a $300 unit like you'll see in a clinical setting none of these "rapid" read home oral thermometers will take a reading properly unless you let the thing sit in your mouth for at least 1 minute or more. My old BD electronic unit is slow but apparently there was a reason for that, consistency and accuracy of measurement. In the end I didn't return it a second time since I need the unit to send with one of my kids off to college and did not have enough time for yet another replacement (which likely works the same way).

While looking for a thermometer I found the iProven at my local pharmacy. I picked it up because of its clean blue and white packaging that stood out on the rack. The package clearly advertised the rapid read, flexibility, and loud alarm features and these were just the things I was looking for in a thermometer. When I did purchase this product and utilized it, I found it to be easy to use and it resulted as quick as the manufacturer claimed it would. The tone on completion was loud enough to hear even by my husband. who suffers from issues with loss of hearing in one ear. The thermometer is capable of showing a happy or sad face based on the result for those unsure of the best temperature range that they should maintain. This range is clearly explained in the included pamphlet of directions found in the packaging. I found it a little difficult to open the plastic container at first, but that became easier with use and I looked at it as if it was kept clean in the packaging since it was sealed tightly. Based on all of the features offered with this product I feel it was worth the price I paid for it. I feel it provided accurate results. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends who are looking for a thermometer for daily use in their home.

Ease of use The only thing I’d like better is if the Amazon instructions for use matched the box as there are conflicted instructions on whether to first press the button before putting the thermometer in place. I also don’t like the sound of the notifications and would like an option to turn them off. Not sure about accuracy as I didn’t test.
