Another plus is the quiet operation and sleek design. Considering the price, the build quality is very good. The only downside is that it doesn’t come with a protective case, but that’s a minor issue. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and reliable external hard drive.

If i could choose a minus number if stars, i would. I bought this drive on the back of the good reviews, so I formatted it and proceeded to transfer nearly 500G of video, pictures and 3d print files, basically everything I need safe and not clogging up my PC. I used it for 2 weeks before cleaning everything off my PC. Great, I'm running nice and fast again. Then randomly the next time I plug this in it wants me to format it, I now have no access to the 500g of files I absolutely need. It slowed my PC down considerably and I now stand to lose everything on it if I format it. Trust this POS at your own risk. I've lost everything I need. I've done everything I know to retrieve my files back. Of course if I format it again, everything is gone. Nothing I can do about it either, the damage is already done. Stick with the better brands like Toshiba etc.
