It works. However, not quite as super easy to use as I probably thought.I had thought something like this would be super simple, you just set the distance and do the mark, however it does slip reasonably easy and isn't super easy to hold well. So that lead to my first times using it not necessarily creating a nice, neat, accurate line. That's just a bit of a technique thing. There is a little bit of proper technique required to use it. But if done properly I think it does a good job.So just be warned it may take a bit of working with it to work out a good technique that will get good, even lines. It's not super simple and idiot proof. But if done right should give good accurate marks.

Does as promised. I used this often for marking where I need to cut. Leaves a minimal mark, less obvious than pencil marks, etc.

Works great so far while testing a soft plywood and the Douglas Fir 2x4 I had lying around. Very simple to guide and move along both surfaces. I’m between projects at the moments so I haven’t had the chance to use it to its full function within the process of woodworking. What I can say is that it was sharp enough for sure to get the markings. The overall tool is light weight and easy to use.I like that there are spare blades that come well packaged in their own individual container. The rod, brass, and blade come in their own wrapper as well. I think some kind of mini case will go well with this type of device so now I can probably cut my own up using this little guy.As someone who has really spent a good amount on tools this year as the woodworking has ramped up, my thought process with this purchase was to invest in tested and respected products. Based on reviews and YouTube University this is one of those pay for the good stuff so you’re not regretting it in a month and paying more out later.
