Why did you pick this product vs others?: Good reviews. Needed something better than my fingers for checking thickness of walls of bowls while Wood-turning. Arrived when scheduled. Securely packaged. Found calipers to be entirely as expected. Good quality. Points not too sharp and perfectly aligned.

These are just what I needed for turning complex hollow form vases and bowls. Sometimes a standard one-sided caliber is impossible to remove without altering the measured thickness, making the measurement impossible. This two-sided setup is just the ticket, making those measurement easy, while the tool is still at the location being measured. It's plenty accurate for wood turning. I have it hanging by my lathe.

This type of caliper is used to measure the wall thickness of bowls and other woodturned items. They work as expected. The only problem was the rivet was too tight and calipers were difficult to operate. Applying some oil and working them back and forth numerous times loosened them up a little and made them easier to use.

Looks like a decent tool. Will try it out soon.
