Baby Love (Boxed Set): A Board Book Gift Set/All Fall Down; Clap Hands; Say Goodnight; Tickle, Tickle

I gave these books to my great nephew- the author and illustrator are an excellent team in providing quality children’s books - a great addition for parents and children to share together

My 12 month old has just adored these for months. The books are just the right size for his little hands. He loves being able to take the books in and out of the box, and constantly asks us to read these to him. He has started to clap his hands, bounce, etc along with the books. The books are quick reads (great for an active little one) and Helen Oxenbury's illustrations are just so sweet. This set really engages my baby and I often bring them along on outings or overnight trips as it is small and easy to pack. I think this would be such a sweet gift for a little one.

small size great for small hands to hold. i enjoy the illustrations but was really disappointed with how short and how minimal the writing but thats no fault of anyone. My rating is based on how much we read these tiny books which was minimal. 5/2019: just wanna update this and share that my little one loves these books now. Their short and sweet and she anticipates the last line with giggles. She's about 17m now and understands enough. Five stars cause these make her smile.

Much smaller than I thought. We had gotten the tickle tickle book foe my kis when they were little. It is so warn I thought I would get another and saw the set. It is really small, but my granddaughter loves them just as much as the big one. Only 3 stars for the very small size. Otherwise we'll made. If You have a kid that is hard on books, get the large ones since small hands can really get a good grip on these. Tickle Tickle was all 4 of my kids favorite, and is my grand kids favorite!

If you have a baby, you need these books. My baby has loved them everyday, from age 6 months. He would look at them, and mouth them just a bit, then work on his wrist by passing it from one hand to the other, then he would observe it by rotating it. The size is just perfect. Highly recommended. Here's a sample of the content: "Clap hands, dance and spin" "open wide and pop it in" "blow a trumpet, bang a drum" ... - author, Helen Oxenbury. Update: at 16 months, they are still my baby's favorite books. He likes to look at them, and he can now relate to the images: diaper, rolling in blanket, brushing hair, hitting a pot with a spoon... It helps me teach him many things, there's so much you can describe: spatial position, relationship, emotion. The fact that they are small is actually perfect. Just enough for the baby. The adult does not need to read the story, I never did read "clap, clap." You must personalize the book story based on what your child has interest for, and can process.

Wonderful stories, just too tiny for a little hands.

I specifically got this book set because the books are small. My baby loves books and I wanted her to have something she could hold & flip through herself. She loves looking through them in the car as we run errands. It's also super easy to stash a couple in my bag or coat pocket for outings. Now that my daughter can walk, she will often bring these books to me so we can act out the activities together (she loves "Clap Hands" best of all). Lastly, I like that the babies in the charming illustrations represent a diverse mix. We live in a multicultural area and the kids in this book look like the kids in our neighborhood. I plan on buying this set as a baby shower gift for friends. Worth every penny!

Need a gift for a new baby? Or one who is about six months old? This is the gift. I buy these because of their size and because of the lovely babies in every skin tone. These are the true baby experience and babies choose these over any other books because their hands can hold them. I bought the same books in the larger sizes but babies don't like them as much. I buy them for every new baby and have to replace them because they get so very loved. Best infant books ever. (Best infant magazine is HELLO! by Highlights).

The books are very small , but nice

unglaublich niedliche zeichnungen. mein einjährige tochter mag gerade vor allem noch die schleife und das format der bücher, aber die zeichnungen sind so simpel gehalten, dass schon einzelne themen (babys schlafen zb) besprochen werden können

This set of Helen Oxenbury board books is enchanting and the rhymes timeless . I bought he first set 6 years ago for my first grandson and he so loved them that one of his first words was "down" from us playing out the "All Fall Down" book. They are a lovely size and easy to hold along with the baby! The board is good quality and colours of the print nice and bright. They are still going strong but I have another little granddaughter now and wanted her to have a set at home too.
