Best wider grips I could find. Made well. Comfortable on hands. Rubber is a tiny bit too sticky for my needs but still like them. Best wider grips I could find.

I bought a 2nd pair of these for my Trek Hardtail I recently bought new. I found that the Trek OEM grips were small and also cheap, as screw on part to tighten the grip is made of plastic and broke easily with normal tightening. I am glad that it broke because these grips make all the difference. Nice width, perfect diameter, great gripping, good rubber, solid construction, light weight.

The Ergon GA2 Grips: These are my favorite grips of all times. I’m not exaggerating, they are comfortable for all day rides and stay tacky even when the ride gets wet. Ergon makes a number of high quality products for mountain bikers, Grips, Saddles, Hip Pack, Gloves and more. These grips are definitely at the top of my favorites list of items they offer. Even thought the name si the grips is “Fat” the thickness is not extreme and they offer a great feel and some extra comfort as well. As with all of Ergon products the quality and build is exceptional. They not only work great they look awesome with many colors to choose from. I went with he blue but the standard Black ands several other colors are available as well.

I ride trails regularly and bought these for my Trek Fuel. A friend of mine had run into this problem, but thought it was specific to his bars. If you even GRAZE a tree, the end plug will fall out. If you're on the trails x2 times a week, this happens so often... any time my buddy or I come close to a tree, we have to stop and wander around the area like we're looking for a lost contact. SO annoying given the plugs to replace them are 10 bucks a pair, and it happens so often. Plug issues aside, these grips are awesome. I can ride them without gloves, but they get really slick as soon as you start sweating. That's usually when I put on my gloves. Then they instantly stick like glue to your hands. Had the stock Bontrager grips before this, and it's an ENORMOUS difference. Immediately feel like I have so much more control. Highly recommend from a grip and control perspective, but beware of brushing against literally anything while riding. The plugs will definitely fall out and you will have to stop and look for it, or hope you can find replacements in stock somewhere.

Single lock Plastic press fit bar ends that could possibly fall out. I hate ESI fat grips. The foam is way too stiff when you FINALLY get it molded to your hand. And even that is minimal. I tried several other "fat" grips but none of them were comfortable and/or grippy enough. Ergon makes smart stuff. These grips are perfect for not-small hands. Their rubber is perfect for grip and comfort. Even better is after a wash, it gets tacky. You're not slipping a grip with these. I think my only concern is that they're going to wear out slightly faster than a normal grip but since they're thicker that probably won't matter.

I've tried a lot of larger diameter grips for my bigger hands. Oury, Odi Rogue and even the Wolftooth fat paw. I thought I had settled on the fat paws but I started to miss the texture of normal rubber grips. Plus those, were almost too fat and felt a bit vague on the trail. I noticed my steering and grip didn't feel that precise with them and besides, they are not durable if you hit into a tree. Just tried these Ergon GA2 fat and they seem to be pretty good. They are noticeably thicker than average grips but have a nice feel without being vague on the trail. Good cushioning and grippy texture too. UPDATE: Yeah, end plugs do fall out if you bump into any tree or branch, so pay attention if you touch your bar ends on anything and pick up your cap. I've gorilla-glued my caps in which helps but they still aren't firmly in there. Great grip though.

Great grips but it’s came with one bolt missing from the left grip and the one in the right when I tightened it it’s got cracked a little pit maybe i put alot of force in it but I expected to be more durable than that

Excellent grips; this is the second pair I’ve bought after good experience fitting to my mountain bike, I bought another pair for my hybrid which was becoming uncomfortable on the hands after 7 or 8 miles of riding. Simple to fit, absorb shock well, and tacky in terms of grip without being unpleasant.
