works great.
I used this on my car trailer for the ramps. My old latches were falling apart. These went on easy. I was impressed because the bolt holes were the same as what I already had. I cannot speak on the longevity yet. The only negative is a personal opinion; I would like to seen them come with locking nuts & hex head bolts. I used thread lock on mine.

Great item , I use it as a grill latch and works perfect .

So many uses other than Jeep hoods. Make sure you weld the tee handle to the shaft.
My only complaint is the T handle eventually comes off because it's attached to the shaft with an aluminum rivet. Over time, the rivet breaks. I now weld the handle to the shaft so it's never a problem again. These are way better than the rubber latches.

These are not rubber as advertised
Glad I got them. They seem like they have a good spring inside and the halves could certainly be mounted further apart for a better pull/lock effect. My mounts are aluminum and fibreglass so I went easy on the distance. No rattles when driving and they can mount either way up.
