How is this used. i was confused with the directions?  night time? day time? all 3 at night?  help.

Accepted Answer

The Retinol should only be used at night - after other serums and before moisturizer.  And when you start on it, it should be used only every other night for the first week.  This is to prevent photosensitivity, breakouts, and dryness.  Again, it should also be applied after other serums and before moisturizers.  Use it on places that have large pores, bumpy skin, or fine lines as it resurfaces the skin by clearing out pores and causes aging skin to regenerate faster.  (If you don’t have aging skin, consider salicylic acid instead.)

As for the other two, start with a clean, dry face and apply the vitamin C serum first - 3 to 5 drops using on your finger tips.  Avoid putting serums with hyalauric acid too close to your eyes as it can migrate in causing redness and irritation.    Let the serum dry completely.

Apply a drop or two of the eye serum to your fingertips and rub or tap into your eye area.  Some like to use their ring finger for this as it is more gentle.  I prefer to go in from the cheekbone area to my undereye.  If this is being applied during the day time, follow with your favorite cream.  At night, retinol then cream.  (I use Marula Oil (unrefined, old-pressed) then CeraVe cream for flawless results.)  Tip: Suggest keeping the bottles in the box and in the right sequence and only removing the one you are using to keep track of where you are in the process - as you might be doing other things like getting dressed or doing your hair or something between steps.

You can then apply your makeup.

It is a little involved, but to me, healthy, beautiful and glowing skin is worth it.

In what order do you apply these three serums? Or any multiple serums, for that matter.

I use the eye gel first and them intercalate the vitamin c and the retinol. Meaning that one night I use one and the other night the other. Just the eye gel I use it everyday. In case you want to use both serums in one day, I would use the vitamin c in the morning to help protect from the sun and the retinol by night since is not sun friendly.

Can i use these 3 along with the skin clearing serum vitamin C every night or every other night?

You can use retinol and vitamin C together I'm told by my dermatologist but it can cause irritation. So I opt to use vitamin C during the day because of it's uv and free radical protection and retinol at night for it's repairing qualities. You don't want to use retinol during the day generally because it increases photosensitivity while on the skin and can leave you dry peeling and rashy. It's wonderful as a night serum though. The eye serum is safe to use both morning and night and the ingredients pair well with both vitamin C and retinol 🙂
