What documentation there is leaves out a lot of detail and it's very hard to follow. I'm still not sure if I can even configure this thing to accept connections over the wired Ethernet port. I did get it to work on WiFi. I made the mistake of plugging it in to a wired network too, though, which resulted in it unexpectedly working as a bridge so my laptop was getting DHCP from the wired network and couldn't talk to the serial device. I finally figured out what was going on and managed to set it up (only using DHCP - I can't figure out how to set a static IP address) and establish a connection to a Modbus RTU device via RS-485. From the fragmentary documentation it looks like this thing can do a lot, but it's hard to say exactly what or how to do it because it's so poorly written.
