Wheelbarrow Heavy Duty Dolly, 8-in-1 Aerocart Garden Cart, WG050

Ok, let me see if I can clear up a few things. First off, after reading quite a few of the reviews, I "almost" cancelled my order thinking I was ordering some sort of Children;s PlaySchool wheel barrel toy. I couldn't have been more wrong. Here's the unbiased truth on this cart. If you are a Construction Worker hauling bags of cement or really heavy materials in bulk, DO NOT purchase this item. This is for the typical home owner that not only needs a wheel barrel that is stable and easy on the back, but a tool that can also convert into something other than a wheel barrel like a dolly, plant lifter or stone hauler. I've had two back surgeries and even though I have healed up great, this little gem takes all the weight and I am no longer limited when it comes to landscaping. Sure, the actual cavity could have been a bit bigger but I think the designers looked at the average amount of material people actually put in the "well" area and settled on an ergonomic design that really takes the stress off your back. I am 6'7" and the way this thing is built with the handles tilted upward, makes lifting and letting the bucket / well down with ease. I've had bags of stone, sand, wood chips and such in it and it has plenty of room to get the job done safely. The metal is rugged and thick and I can already tell this unit is going to last a long time. Sure, my other wheel barrel was HUGE but since it was so big, I couldn't fill it to capacity without worrying about the darn thing tipping on me. As a former power lifter it is not a matter of strength but a matter of stability over terrain when in use. I read on one of the reviews that the bearings came off the plastic wheels? As a former engineer, you would of had to seriously overloaded this cart or tried to use the trailer hitch ball on something with a monster tongue weight to dislodge the bearings. The way I see it, using this cart in a "normal" fashion will provide years of care free use. The fit, finish, and quality of this cart is great, Yes, I am sure that occasionally there may be a defect from the factory for some people but when I looked my cart over in great detail, I found NO faults whatsoever. Even a brand new 100 million dollar aircraft has an occasional fault here and there, show me one product in history that hasn't. Truth is folks, this little cart is great and I was even able to hang it on the wall in my garage using the hole on the dolly tongue.Took all of ten minutes to put together and test out all the features. Plus, it really is nice to just use this whenever I want and not worry about having to pump up the air filled tires anymore like the one on my old wheel barrel. By the way, I didn't use my old wheel barrel that much so it sat in the garage for weeks on end but with the AeroCart, I use it for other functions quite a bit and I have since sold my old dolly, made a few dollars cash, and freed up some room in my garage, Would I recommend this? Darn right I would!

Fantastic size and clever factor. No regrets about purchasing - actually got a second one to keep at another property. I wished they spent a little more on finish or materials; item was on a covered porch in dry west Texas (though admittedly we had fog and a little rain that week) and it immediately got freckles of rust on many different t places. I don’t think it will cause usability problems but it’s immediately noticed by any friend I’ve wanted to show my latest gadget off to... I went to a local Home Depot thinking I might by a cart there and return the Amazon provided one. Unfortunately Home Depot has all their garden carts stored outside where I live along with all the other wheelbarrows and wagons. Under a cover, again all the units had very noticeable rust. A couple of months later I spotted the last four of the six units HD had at the beginning of the summer when I purchased mine. These were marked down under a hundred dollars on clearance and had unfortunately been changed together in the open air part of their garden dept and consequently were literally sitting in a giant orange puddle of rust water and anything that held water - like the plastic bag with accessories looked like greasy tortilla soup- if the Tin Man was coming over. I don’t know if that’s a change in quality of paint and or metal from the originals of several years ago or if they’d always been so susceptible to this. I’ve experienced a similar “downgrade” in quality when buying Worx’s Jaw Horse and purchasing another two years later. However, Worx claims they were focused on “improving “ the horse by making it lighter and cheaper and they aren’t wrong about that! Your mileage may vary. Or even be kilometers but my experience has been that the trade off for what were significantly less expensive second or third generation (bought around Blsck Friday at discount) was ok with me. I lusted after both these tools for years but never pulled the trigger knowing I had old school tools like my old wheelbarrow that did the job and therefore found the Worx premium price too much a risk inducing buyers’ “why am such a sucker” remorse and ultimately too much trouble when I could just pick up the latest Ryobi whatever when I “needed “ a new tool and easily return it if it was the rare misfire. The logic of which I still think was sound. But, I wish I had purchased the Aerocart years ago even with the rust issue- it’s fantasticly maneuverable in small city courtyards and easily shrinks down in clever ways for storage or to be put in a trunk. The garbage bag attachment, which I wasn’t interested in before , has become something I use often. I redid a small back yard for my my Mother at a townhouse with very restricted access and this worked so so much better than several other carts and wagons. A lot of what I used it for was moving 4 yds of 4-6” Mexican River Stones from a parking lot to her courtyard where I used it for ground cover and it’s metal construction and river tires combined with being almost like a dolly was perfect. My other favorite cart is (or was) the Mighty Max wagon which unfortunately my buddy overloaded and ended up snapping its high strengrh plastic body in half on a ramp - It has its own strengths though and I LOVED it for 3 years so it’s another possibility you should check out.

I bought this contraption for 2 reasons. The first is evidenced by the photos I’ve attached. I’m not sure how heavy that rock was, but I need a shovel to pry the rock on the net and then pull it out of a 12” deep hole (12” paver for reference). This thing did it’s job almost perfectly (I’ll wrap up the “almost” at the end. Considering I have about 8-10 more of those large rocks to haul out of the ground, I’d say I’m already happy with my purchase. The second reason was I needed a wheel barrow for my small residential yard while I do a significant landscape/hard scape project. I knew with all the rocks I needed to move, I needed a steel tub. When I factored in the $120-200 on a decent wheelbarrow, this just seemed to make more sense. I did get the trolley attachment as I have a bunch of big rocks to move and figured the trolley would be easier. I’ll report back on that later. The wheelbarrow is alright. It’s small, but I get the purpose with the weight limitations. A single wheel, or even a close double wheel, is definitely easier to maneuver, especially on bumpy terrain. Again, for what I need, I think wrapping many tools into one purchase was a great idea. So the -1 star… it’s the wheels. I get the purpose of not using pneumatics, especially if you’re trying to keep scheduled maintenance tasks down. But these wheels are really only good over flat ground, especially with heavier loads. Pneumatics are cheaper and give you the “bounce” to help across bumpy terrain, but for the price I feel they should have went with a newer high density foam technology. I’m not sure what these are. They’re not really hard plastic, but not exactly like those never-flats you can buy. I may look around for some 3rd party wheels, but only if it’s easy. Like I said, this thing is a great tool and I am happy with the purchase. Better wheels/tires would warrant a 5-star.

Shipping was nice and fast items arrived in perfect condition. After assembling the wheel barrow and playing with it a bit I was pretty damn impressed esp from a engineering stand point. This tool is awesome and has a ton of features for the avad gardener or weekend warrior. This has a small bucket which is perfect for my small yard and small storage space in the shed. DO NOT BUY THIS THINKING ITS THE SAME SIZE AS A NORMAL WHEEL BARROW. You cant put this many tools into a regular wheel barrow and keep it light small and funcional they did.I only have one problem and one suggestion. The problem is the wheels. They have a super hard rubber/plastic tire which basically is hard as rock and just like plastic. So what happens in either wagon or wheel barrow or dolly mode the wheels have no give. Which makes them sink into dirt and rock, and if you have a heavy load it actually adds more load and harder to navigate. Also if you have to roll over something like a rock or cement wedge your more than likely gonna get jammed up and have to almost lift the wheel over the surface. So what I have done to fix this problem is went to harbor freight bought the same size wheels with inflatable tires.( I know I know the WORX tires never go flat and that was the purpose.) But if you want full functionality of this tool it's a must unless your area is flat with a nice terrain.The wheels have a 5/8 id which you need to put a 2 1/4 in bushing over the axle to make it tight and pick up the slack from the smaller size hole to the bigger. As you see in the pic mounts up like it was made for it (w minor mod). Now as far as my suggestion. I think where all the welds are they should have actually ran 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch bead instead of spreading out a bunch of tack welds. I know in the future this will need to be addressed as it wares and tares esp if itnis stored outside. Other than that I cant wait to get out it the yard and put this thang to the test. -SMALLER CAPACITY than traditional wheelbarrows. But since it carries the load lower I can control the load with greater ease, safety & control. Surprisingly easy moving a dump truck load of damp top soil 150 feet over gravel or dry, bumpy lawn. Great back saver. Good suburbanite type tool. -MADE IN CHINA. -EASY PEASY: Does everything easier /faster /safer. Better control of the load. As a taller person, my higher lifting angle sometimes causes scraping on cart bottom. But I flipped the handles over so they curved UP...perfect solution. -SHINY ORANGE PAINT DULLS QUICKLY in the sunlight...turns dull white. No UV protection. Tub does not seem to rust,.. but soft foam handles quickly deteriorate /split /stretch with heavy use. -EASY TO ASSEMBLE: Only thing to assemble is just one steel pin that goes through each wheel and slides into a round hole on the side of the tub. Mounting the wheels is fool proof. Comes with large fold out instructions but I didn't really have to read any of it. -BUILD LIKE A TANK: Well balanced, nimble & smart design leverage multiplies the strength of the user unlike anything I've owned. Good for moving small rocks /pots under 80 lbs, Great for holding /filling /transporting tall paper bags, topsoil, gravel, anything. -LOVE THE WHEELS: Wheels have bearings, built tough with tires that never go flat,...even on the coldest days like air filled tires go soft /flat & better than slime tire additive. Tires are about 3inches wide & 8 inches tall. -EASY TO TRANSFORM from a wheelbarrow into a conventional dolly,... pull one spring loaded knob on each side of the support legs (near the handles) & then push /fold the legs forward. A connecting rod under the tub pushes /pivots both wheels forward and locks the wheels in the forward position. Very nice. A touch of oil on pivot points will help. -AEROCART HAS LESS HAULING CAPACITY than traditional 1 or two wheeled wheelbarrows. So if you need something big, it's not for you. This is a suburbanite wheelbarrow,...great for anyone young /older who wants to reduce normally back breaking hauling. It's tame, tough & more versatile than traditional wheelbarrows...just a smaller capacity. -NET ACCESSORY fits on the end of arms that easily swings into place for lifting /maneuvering small rocks, bricks, planters, etc up to 70-80 lbs. Anything heavier I use my two wheeled traditional wheelbarrow. -GARDEN BAG ACCESSORY HOOP great for holding tall garden bags open for easy filling... then easily move full bags to the curb etc. -LOVE THE TIRES: don't sink down in soft /wet dirt like the narrower bicycle tire carts. Rolls well over gravel /rougher yard surfaces. BOTT LINE: EARNS 5-STARS. A reasonable Value @ $159. Should last a lifetime or two. Does more things better than my bicycle wheel cart, or hand trucks, or my double wheeled wheel barrow. Has smaller hauling capacity than most wheel barrows but has better /safer control of load vs regular wheelbarrows. Better paint & handle grips are needed. Another model with larger capacity /size would be interesting.

I cannot say enough about this Dolly/wheelbarrow/wagon! It took the place of all three of those devices so now I only need to have one. Easy to switch from one to the other. Great product.

Nice product, but it was damaged by the delivery process. Seat is broken on the wagon addition and one of the handles is bent.

My wife bought this for me prior to our doing a kitchen renovation. I was very skeptical about its functionality, since I had only seen the product on a cheesy television commercial. This product provided everything that the commercial said and a whole lot more! First the basics. It came is a box that was pretty smashed up (I don't know if it was from Amazon or the shipping company), but the Worx was unscathed. It goes together quickly with very minimal assembly. The only thing that took longer was taking a broken box out to the garage. Now to its function. Although I had contractors to do all the construction (through a very well known orange box store), I chose to do the demolition myself to save money. Part of that was the removal of an old refrigerator, which the dolly feature handled with ease. I needed ratchet straps as the handles are not quite as tall as a normal use dolly, but it handled the fridge without any problems, even with the slightly smaller base to put under it. The star of the show was the wheelbarrow. The reviews I read said that it was good for small home or garden jobs, but I put it to a HUGE test. 630 square feet of tile on top of 1" of poured concrete had to be sledge hammered, pried off the floor and taken to the dumpster down two outside steps. Over a hundred of trips were needed with debris being tossed in and shoveled out. There are a few, and I mean a few, dents in the bed, but it performed like a champ for over a week of non-stop work. Living in upstate Michigan, I will use the wood transfer accessory every week to rebuild the stack in my garage, and the trash bag feature is in use as we speak. This is a fantastic product. It is not for construction on a daily basis, but for a homeowner, I put it through as tough a test as I can imagine and it came through shining!

This is a great wheelbarrow/dolly for someone who doesn’t want to wrestle with a really heavy load in a standard wheelbarrow (this holds maybe half as much as a big wheelbarrow) and who doesn’t have a lot of storage space in their shed. It’s really easy to assemble and disassemble and I love the fact that it’s multi-functional. I’ve already used it as a wheelbarrow, a dolly, and a garden bag holder — the only function I haven’t tried is the extended arm and net for moving heavy items (but if that works like the other features, I expect it to be a success). I also purchased the clips that let you fasten your shovel or rake to the side while transporting things (very handy), and I’m toying with the idea of getting the wagon conversion kit and perhaps eventually even the snow-pusher conversion kit. My neighbour mocked me for not getting a big four-wheeled wheelbarrow like hers (admittedly less tippy than a standard two-wheeler) but I haven’t had a moment of regret — I’ve got exactly what I needed and more.

Does not roll on grass as easy as a wheelbarrow but is more stable!. Will update when I have used it more.

This cart has been a great asset to our lot.

So much more than a simple wheelbarrow! The narrow profile helps with storage and maneuverability. Very sturdy.
