17" Sound Bar, Home Theater Surround Sound System for TV

This sound bar offers very good value for the price. I needed something to replace the pitiful speakers in my bedroom TV. Being a bedroom TV I didn't need loud volume or booming bass. I just wanted something with moderate, undistorted bass (my TV just puts out distorted noise where the bass should be) and decent mid and upper range. So, I took a chance on the Riowois sound bar. I'm glad I did! Setting up the sound bar was fairly straightforward so I won't go into detail on that. I set up all three input interface, Bluetooth, optical, and 3.5mm Aux. They all are working for me, I don't see a big advantage of one over the others, with one exception. For some reason, sometimes when I power up the sound bar with the Aux input as the selected interface the sound bar is silent. I've tried powering up the TV before and after the sound bar and it doesn't make a difference. But, if I switch to Bluetooth or optical and then back to Aux, the Aux input starts working. It's not a huge deal, since there's a way to recover, but it's a little concerning. I'm very happy with the sound put out by this sound bar. It's a huge upgrade from my TV speakers. I probably wouldn't use this as the sound bar in my home theater, but for a bedroom setup it's a great fit. One issue that I now had was 3 remotes on the nightstand (TV, cable box, sound bar). I really wanted to consolidate with a cheap universal remote. After some research, I settled on the backlit (a must-have for a bedroom TV) GE Ultrapro universal remote model number 48848, available on Amazon. This remote comes pre-programmed to control my Samsung TV (but you can program it for any other TV brand) and I was hoping it could replace my cable box/DVR remote and the Riowois sound bar remote. I was happy to find the right remote code for my cable box as well as the sound bar. Remote code 3106 works for the Riowois sound bar. Once the universal remote was programmed I found that the keys mapped to the sound bar functions as follows: - Power On/Off = sound bar Power On/Off - Volume Up/Down = sound bar Volume Up/Down - Mute = sound bar Mute - Play = in BT mode it will trigger "Play" on the paired bluetooth source device (phone, etc) - Pause = in BT mode it will trigger "Pause" on the paired bluetooth source device (phone, etc) - * button (info button) = selects Optical input on sound bar (same as OPT button on sound bar remote) - 5 button of numeric keypad = selects BT input on sound bar (same as BT button on sound bar remote) - 9 button of numeric keypad = selects Aux input on sound bar (same as AUX button on sound bar remote) I didn't find any other button mappings, but these are the key functions of the sound bar remote that I was looking to replicate, so I'm satisfied. The buttons on the sound bar remote that I couldn't replicate on the universal remote fall into the category of "set it and forget it" for me so I'm not too upset that I can't replicate them. One other issue I had for the sound bar was that I didn't have a good place to locate it. The TV is on the corner of my dresser and I was concerned about knocking the sound bar off the dresser because it would stick out if I placed it below and in front of the TV. I found a great solution to this problem on Amazon. I got a TV top shelf sound bar mount (16.9x4.7 inches) that nicely fits the top of my TV. The sound bar is the same width as the shelf, a perfect fit. The shelf was simple to install on the TV, no tools or alterations to the TV are required. If you have an issue placing the sound bar like I did, I recommend taking a look at the TV shelf. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this sound bar. Despite the intermittent issue with the silent Aux input after power-on, I'm giving it 5 stars based on value for the money.

This little sound bar delivers decent sound for the low price tag. The sound isn't exactly room filling but it has higher volume and deeper bass than my TV which is all I wanted. Great for a smaller room. Note: If you switch the input to optical and get static, go into your TVs audio settings and switch from Dolby to PCM.

I bought this to replace a soundbar that crapped out on me in less than a year (purchased from another major retail outlet). Three months later, I am quite satisfied so far. The sound quality is a little better than I expected for the price, it can get loud enough to hear over my AC unit, and the remote is easy enough. The TV uses an aux cable; I connect my iPhone with the bluetooth to stream music, and so far have no bluetooth connectivity issue. I'm considering a second one so I can have one in my "work kitchen" at church since the music I listen to sounds surprising good through this. The bluetooth connectivity would mean an easier background music situation than we currently have, and it certainly would be nice to listen to music instead of convection ovens! It allows for a subwoofer expansion, but for basic quality sound, it's not necessary unless you plan on using it in a family room situation where there is noise from people. An elderly couple or single person shouldn't need the extras. It's worth the money! Update August: Purchased second one for church. Demonstrated how it works, both for tv and music, and gave one warning; lose the remote and YOU by the next one. All parties are satisfied with the purchase and the agreement.

Very easy to set up, weight is great, not heavy at all, Battery life was great although I am still using the cord it works really well and goes with my room. This has great compatibility with my tv which does have the best of sound on it's own. The appearance was not a primary concern, but like I said, I do love that it goes with my device and style of the room.

Edit: It stopped working after 6 weeks with the tv. It will still work as a bluetooth speaker but that doesn't work with the tv. I've tried alternate ways of setting it up, changing out the optical cord, and even getting a connector that used the old school audio connections with a connection to the speaker with newer optical cord. It still won't work with the tv. The old sound bar still works with it and the sound still works on the tv so the only thing that has failed is this new sound bar. Our tv has a very tinny sound so we bought a large sound bar to start off. This sound bar replaced that one, which was very irritating to use and had a lot of issues with loudness and modes. This sound bar was very easy to install and less complicated than our previous one. The sound is very clear with no weird background sounds. The bass is good but not overwhelming. I haven't noticed any sort of distortion in the sound whatsoever. It puts out more quality sound than the previous bar which was twice as big. Once you have this installed, this is the easiest to use. The remote that comes with it does what I need it to do. I don't have to keep adjusting it either. I don't know how they did it but it seems to be loud enough in one room without it blasting down the hallway. The sound seems to contain itself to the room it is in more than the previous one. I highly recommend this sound bar. I love this thing!

Works great! This was a gift for my folks since their tv doesn’t have very good sound. Easy install and use. Would definitely recommend for the quality and price point.

Thus, I turned to this faithful companion, reconnecting with the sheer bliss of crystal-clear sound that this system is undeniably capable of producing. Ah, what sweet relief it brought to my distraught soul! In conclusion, my dear compatriots of sonic wonder, I implore you to approach this audio system with cautious admiration. Revel in its glorious sound, revel in its powerful bass, and revel in the utter convenience of its dependable remote control. Purchased a sound bar the 26 Sep 2022, the name on the sound bar said (SAIYIN). EXCELLENT. Based on how satisfied I was with the product, August of this year 2023. I went to my order history and decided that I am going to do a second purchase of the item. I did, however when it arrived, the name on it was (RIOWOIS). I said this can't be good, the very fact it is just a bunch of vowels with some consonants creating a word that can not be pronounce. I realized that this can not be good. Anyways, I unboxed, set up. I realized the audio from AUX is very low, bluetooth connects easily but the sound quality takes too much of a high volume level for you to really get the punch. The OPTICAL connection was what puts this product completely in the trash-can. When I connected the sound bar to my TV OPTICAL connection, there was absolutely no audio sound except for a loud interference similar to a transmission from a two way radio. Why would a seller advertise something with a different name than what the product actually is? Why? Why would a seller use a different name to sell a product? This action is utterly deceiving, cunning and unfair and this kind of behavior should not make it on amazon. Online shoppers need the truth about a product. Is not like you are walking into a store and being assisted by a store attendant. Even at the point of check out the product was still saying (SAIYIN), it was when the product got shipped, that was the time they updated the name to whatever this is (RIOWOIS). This is misleading and Amazon need to conduct a better stream line of the products that are being sold on their platform. This product is a complete piece of garbage and it needs to be treated for what it is. Toss in the garbage bin. VERY VERY VERY BAD PRODUCT. AUG 25, 2023. Ok, so after receiving my item I was pretty upset based on the distortion that i heard in the system. I wrote my initial review based on how I was feeling. However the seller reached out to me. Very curtious, kind, understanding with a 100% professionalism. The seller informed me of some methods that I could try to achive the best sound quality and also some trouble shooting information. The seller even go as far as replacing the item, I am super happy with the great assistance and rhe great customer service from this seller. Just a word of advice to customers, (sometimes before we write reviews based on how unsatisfied we are, contact the seller first and try to see how best the seller can assist). This seller has really opened my eyes to a whole nother level of cutomer service and I would definitely purchase from this seller again. Even if its not about the product but the level of professionalism was the element that won everything. Rest assure as soon as I received the new item, I will be updating this review again. UPDATE TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2023. Received the new replacement, set it up and put it to a full system test. works fine in every way, I am completely satisfied with the level of professionalism and the customer service experience. I would definitely purchase from this seller once more. Sometimes it is not really about the product, most times it's the approach that the seller takes in creating a unique experience for customers and or potential customers.
