I was able to get it on but the arms were snug and it could not close - there was about a 3-4 inch gap from one side to the other. Yes, I could have worn it open but it was too snug in the arms like I could bust the seams and I think driving would be out of the question. :) It is BEAUTIFUL though, the color is a lovely wine but it also has a rust hue to it, just gorgeous!
