We live in Texas, so we don't want her feet to get hot, but we want her feet to have more support, and her toes to have more protection, than flip flops. I was nervous about buying her shoes online, so hours of comparison and research went into this choice. She is 2 years 8 months old, weighs 35 (+/-2 lbs), and is right at 3 feet tall. Her foot measures about 5 1/2 inches. The size 7 fit perfect, and hopefully will stretch a little as she wears them. I hope to save other parents the time it took me to pick these. The first day she wore them, I swear, she did not stumble or trip not once!
