I absolutely love this monitor! This is my first OLED monitor, and I decided to make the upgrade as I was completely revamping my setup. First things first: the OLED panel - Super crisp. The colors are exceptionally vibrant, and every game just looks better to the eyes. The 240hz refresh rate is a nice plus, although I will say, I did not notice any real difference by jumping from a 180hz monitor to 240hz. Next, is the size - At 27", this monitor delivers amazing 1440P quality. At first, I was hesitant to downsize from a 32" 1440P to a 27". However, I genuinely don't even feel like I have noticed a significant difference, especially as I also upgraded my VESA Mount to an articulating mount, that allows me to pull the monitor closer to me. Most people buying this product are probably looking for a monitor that will fit their gaming needs, and the 27" size, feels more than perfect when it comes to any of the games I play (TacFPS, MOBA, etc.). I don't think I would go back to a 32" monitor for a main gaming monitor. This monitor (probably) won't magically make you rank up, but it will give you an edge in most games thanks to the high refresh rate, vibrant colors, and overall quality. And even if you don't rank up, you will definitely enjoy your gaming experience much more when you're playing on a monitor as nice as this one.

Love it! Have had it for maybe 3 weeks now no issues. Picture quality is great u definitely need the right HDMI cord that can support the type of quality u are trying to stream. Xbox supports 4K and comes with 2.1HDMI so I am able to use 4k at 60hz for watching things on this monitor and it will activate the HDR settings at that point. The only “con” I would say which isn’t really a con just an annoying thing is the pixel cleaning. I make sure to do it whenever I have the pop up bc I don’t want burn it but it takes like 6 minutes and sometimes I just wanna get right on and play but I have to wait. But it’s worth it for the longevity of the monitor. U do need speakers it has no speakers. I did see some flickering at one point I never knew what that was before but I only saw it the one time and after fixing my settings to turnoff VRR it stopped so that’s good. Picture quality u will have to mess with the setting a lot to see what u like best but there are 2 settings save slots so u can save ur settings and load them. I have1 setting for when im gaming i jus hit to load that pre saved setup and the when I watching something i switch to my other saved settings so i dont have to go through and change everything all the time. Also for playing games, I play rivals mostly, that cross hair feature is lowkey a cheat bc I can better see my cross hair than the actual game crosshair and it has a dynamic function so it changes colors depending on the colors on the screen so it’s never hard to see it always does a contrasting color to make it easier to see. It has come in handy a lot. In the photo that Red Crosshair on the screen that’s the one I’m talking about that it a feature of the monitor that’s not from the game. Definitely is worth the money. I used amazons payment plan bc it is kinda expensive but I think it’s worth it and I like the rainbow color lighting effects the symbol does on the back it’s cuteeee.

the sweet spot for gaming really is 1440p and 120hz++. This monitor is amazing. I cant really see the differrence in 4K vs 1440 but I can absolutly see just how amazing the image looks on this glossy OLED. I watched Tron - Ares on this monitor and all I can say is wow. The onscreen menu is simple and easy to use. The G-Sync with VRR worked out the box with my 5090. I had two minor problems with the monitor so far. I didnt use the included stand, I have my own vesa mount. And the included vesa mount attachment for the monitor was VERY difficult to get attached. I was hesitant to really press down hard to get this thing to click in becuase I didnt want to damage the monitor. I did get it in but it took way more force than I was comfortable giving. The second is that you will want to do a pixel cleaning out the box. It takes about 6 mins, but my monitor had a weird line accross the middle of the display. It was very noticable. I was worried my display was damaged in shipping but did the pixel cleaning and it went right away. Happy as I can be. The monitor is very bright in SDR. If you flip it to HDR the brightness falls a little bit but not bad. I have opeted to leave mine in SDR for the moment. My final thoughts are that this is a great monitor. With OLED finally coming down to the range of "normal" monitors its a real no brainer. If youre a gamer 4K makes little sense. Youre pushing your GPU so hard to fill those pixels and that costs you FPS. Just get the 1440p OLED and push have as many pixels to have those FPS soar and look at those games through a world class display. You wont be disappointed. I almost never do reviews. I've had this monitor for 5 months now, and it's been exquisite. Every now and then, an EPIC product comes along that is leagues above it's class or previous generation. Products like the first AGP video cards, DDR memory, Intel core 2 Duo, the 8800GT, the first TI graphics cards, solid state hard drives, the GTX 1080, AMD 5800x3D, and now there is this monitor right here. Ever since LCD look over the market, nothing has some close to the response time, clarity, and brightness of CRT monitors. This monitor right here is as close as it gets. Expect the INKIEST of blacks. The gloss is perfect, just enough matte to prevent heavy reflections while maintaining 90+ percent of the added clarity glass can offer. The response time is unnoticeable, and when you compare this to any other non OLED panel you instantly can tell the difference. I don't care if on paper your monitor has double the refresh rate of this when it takes 5 times as long as those frames to hit the screen. Response wins every single time. This is the only W-OLED glossy on the market, and the manufacturers must know this monitor is a huge success to continue making glossy W-OLED. QD-OLED has that heavy color saturation, but QD doesn't have true black as contrast so it's vivid colors aren't as impactful and ends up being a wash really. Many complain about text clarity with W-OLED, the added clarity from the gloss compensates heavily. I've no problems reading text at all, that issue is blown out of proportion. In games it doesn't matter anyway, and if you use this primarily for work you've already made a bad choice regardless of what panel technology you have selected. I have zero burn in, but I do perform the pixel refresh every single time it asks or before. If this monitor was stolen tomorrow, I would buy the exact same panel. That's how much I love this thing. Asus / Manufacturers take note. Glossy W-OLED is incredible. Don't get locked into the status quo of current panel types and screen coating combinations. This will blow up in popularity if you continue to make panels like this.

I've been extremely impressed with this monitor. The colors, contrast, and motion clarity are incredible and the 240Hz refresh rate makes everything feel very smooth. It's very gaming friendly and the image quality exceeded my expectations. The stand offers plenty of adjustability, making it easy to find a comfortable position and the included ports and features add a lot of versatility. Setup was simple, and I've attached a picture from my setup to show how it looks in actual use. Overall, I highly recommend this monitor if you're looking for a premium 1440p gaming experience.

Been using this for two days now and everything is great. I have a dual Xeon workstation and gaming PC connected via KVM. After I got everything hooked up I maxed out the refresh rate at 240 Hz. Right off the bat I got really bad flickering, like multiple flickers per second and only happened at 240Hz. Fortunately, the problem was with my DP cable. Even though it was a Dp 1.4 it just couldn't support that high of a signal. Bought a new one. switched it out, and everything is great. Now, if you were like me I hesitated because my monitor is shared for work and play. I didn't know how bad the text would be considering how that is not a strong suit. The text isn't as sharp as my previous monitor but not a big deal at all. As a matter of fact, I am already used to it and don't think about it anymore. The blacks on this thing is absolutely amazing. The colors are so vibrant and rich and gaming looks so much better, even compared to a non OLED 4k monitor. The one thing that I was not too thrilled about is the auto dimming feature. If I switched from my desktop to MS word, you would see some minor dimming. I found out this is part of the built-in screen saving options. Not sure which ones so I turned them all off. I am not overly worried about burn-in. If it happens then I will use my 3-year warranty. By the way, make sure you register the monitor on Asus's site. Now, add this to your cart and check out. UPDATE: I just upgraded to the PG27UCDM (review above was for the XG27AQDMG). For some reason Amazon won't let me write an independent review, even though it is a different model so I am including it in this review. Without exaggeration, this may be the best monitor ever. It just took a few minutes to change the settings based on what I like. The colors are so vibrant and blacks are so deep. I seriously cannot think of anything on which to improve the quality on this monitor, except for one. There is noticeable flicking if I have VRR enabled. Certainly not a deal breaker but you can see it flicker if you pay close enough attention. Other than that, it's perfect and worth the $$$$.

Absolutely insane in the difference. I came from a 165hz 1080p IPS monitor (monitor on right in the pic is a 75hz 1080p IPS) and the difference is crazy good. Not only in the colors, but the pixel quality too. Starting off with the colors, I mean do I even have to say anything? It’s an OLED and everyone knows how crazy good the colors on them are. I’ve had it for about two months now and I already have the OLED curse where every other TV or monitor looks mid now. The blacks and contrast in color is the best I’ve ever seen. I like the black and white backgrounds the most but colorful games (like geometry dash) looks incredible. Next is the frame rate. I have an rtx 4070 super and a 7800x3d so I still get the full 240hz on most games in 1440p ultra (except cyberpunk or modded Skyrim lmao). The 240hz is definitely an incredible difference from 165hz and is VERY noticeable in Rainbow Six Siege and Halo. Overall, the monitor is great and feels very premium to open, set up, and use (as it should for the price). I would highly recommend this monitor if you have the budget for it. I was going to get a cheaper AOC model one for like $399 but getting the gen 5 OLED panel with the better blacks in light (not turning purple like older gen panels) is very much worth it after watching video comparisons. I was the first one in my family to get an OLED and now my brothers are getting ones too (this exact one actually) and my dad is buying an OLED TV so the that for what you will.

For XG27AQDMG 1440p 240hz variant. This monitor feels amazing to use when configured correctly, it does take some setup out of box to use as there is noticable flickering using G-Sync in games that can't hit FPS targets (I have a RTX 3090ti and i7-13700kf). My settings to get rid of most the problems the display has was to enable Variable Refresh Rate, and turn Oled anti-flicker to strong in image settings, and I also have it on Gaming HDR with windows using Auto HDR. The one clear downside of this monitor is that it has noticable color banding in dark tones, it isn't that noticable in most games, but for productivity or color work or in some compressed videos it can be especially noticable, I only really noticed it in a low-def YTP where some of the lighting was a bit blocky or looked like what it would look like at lower bit rate. Obviously this monitor looks great in games, I played Ghost of Tsushima, and Helldivers 2 on this monitor frequently in the past few weeks since I got this monitor, and 99.99% of the time it looks great, there was like maybe one or two places where I was questioning if there was color banding happening but it really isn't noticable in HDR gaming. Would I recommend this monitor? Maybe. Not having perfect color is hard to sell for anyone that does anything but game all day, I bought this specifically because it was one of the only G-Sync compatible OLED displays on the market, and I wanted G-Sync specifically because its a feature I've always wanted to use but never had the chance to, the 240hz was also a big selling point for me. I hear MSI has a comparable monitor without the color banding issues, but it is not G-Sync compatible. Theres also options by AOC and LG that also have G-Sync and AOC is cheaper and those two brands don't seem to have color banding issues. I honestly expect more from ASUS. I still have about a week in my return period and I am debating returning this at this point because why would I want a monitor that costs 100$ more for less quality? Edit: after setting SDR brightness to 0 in windows hdr settings the color banding is much less noticeable and is no longer an issue for me personally. So I say 4 stars, 5 for quality but 3 for price so 4 overall.

Really Good monitor, the Gsync immediately activates on connecting the HDMI or Dpi cable

El monitor, para ser del 2024, es uno de los más consolidados que he visto hasta el momento. Soluciona todos los problemas que las generaciones previas del panel OLED estaban presentando. Al momento de montarlo y ver el rango de colores, la profundidad del color negro que ofrece cambia completamente la manera en la que se perciben las escenas en los videojuegos y películas. Vale completamente la pena, cada centavo. Curiosamente, al ser un acabado glossy, yo pensaba que iba a reflejar todas las luces que hay en el fondo de forma exagerada y que harían al monitor imposible de utilizar en espacios iluminados pero no es así del todo, claro que refleja pero no se siente tan horrible como con otros monitores. Este monitor llegó un día antes de lo esperado por lo que fue premio doble. Lo pienso disfrutar bastante, lo recomiendo y veré como evoluciona en los próximos meses, si hay malos resultados lo hare saber, pero de momento estoy fascinado.

Sick monitor. Mine came defective. Got a replacement from Asus. The screen has inky blacks. Out of the box you may have to change the colors a bit - use Gemini to assist you. Only downside is it has a power brick. The newer models have it embedded

Feedback after 130 hrs screen on time: 9/10 screen for the price (500£ on Black Friday) 1440p 240 Hz (180 Hz on a 10-bit colour over DP) Indiana Jones was the first game I tried it on (I was blown away with immersion especially in the caves of Vatican where you walk with torch) The vibrancy of colours is next level, tested games like Borderlands 3, Psychonauts 2, GTA Vice City Remastered, STALKER 2. Colours pop like crazy. My GF says she heard more compliments from me towards this monitor when I’m playing than she ever heard from me towards her 🥹. Did not experience OLED flickering, the only thing was dirty screen effect on a grayscale image at +80% (vertical lines across all the screen) could see this everywhere for the first couple of days. Eventually after couple of screen pixel clear cycles it all seem to disappear and is no longer an issue so don’t freak out when you turn your monitor for the first time. One minor downside is text clarity (slightly worse than on my old 1440p IPS screen, but not terrible at all, I find it OK to use). HDR in games on WIN10 is completely broken, the screen looks washed out in this mode and you loose saturated colours and brightness for some reason. I haven’t found the game yet that would look better in HDR than SDR. In fact SDR games now look almost like if they had HDR on this screen so I’m not really sure if I need it. There is no coming back to LCD after seeing this. You have to see it in person, pictures don’t do the justice.
