This product works so well in assisting me to go up and down the stairs while I was non weight bearing on my left leg! It is sturdy, and gives a sense of security/stability without being too heavy to carry from place to place. Additionally, you can make the legs even at the bottom, and use as a cane or as an assist to stand if your walker isn't handy!

What an incredibly helpful product I didn’t know existed. My mother was hospitalized for several weeks and very weak when she got home. We were following her up & down the stairs for days until I found this. I feel comfortable letting her go up & down on her own. Now that her strength is back, she doesn’t need this but she keeps on the steps just in case.

My husband recently had a total hamstring repair and cannot weight bear for several weeks. He refused to sleep on the couch so we needed to come up with a safe solution to help him navigate the stairs. Going up the stairs with crutches isn't that bad, but going down the stairs with crutches seems more like a leap of faith and this walker really makes a difference. It was easy to put together and feels steady. I like you can also make the legs the same height. He has used it to help steady himself when showering. I have already recommended this to my friends.

Well made, very sturdy and even fits the riser height in my home perfectly. For me, it is especially useful for going down the steps, not as good going up. Unfotunately, mine has a leg on the low end that is 1/4" short so it wobbles and is less stable than it should be. Instability in a walking or balancing aid is unacceptable. With just a little better quality control this product would be worthy of an easy 5. Ironically, it is too sturdy to fix the problem by bending it. Still, a very good product. P.S.: Very strong yet very light so anyone can use it.

Completely unstable and unusable, unless you like the idea of falling down using it. It's not level and it rocks terribly. Sent it back.

The stair climbing vane has helped me climb my stairs. Ow I can use both feet in climbing instead of using just my dominant foot to climb and the other to follow

This cane has been a great help for going up and down the stairs (especially going down) safely and securely. This is a lot more sturdy and stable than the traditional cane. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for more support while using the stairs!

This might well be a really helpful aid to climbing stairs. But it arrived so long after ordering that it was too late to be useful to me. I hope others will find it useful. It looks sturdy.
