Great taste!
Very nice taste, low sugar and great for dieting or training, big saving on single shop bar price

New & Stickier
Pleasant, but be warrned that the "New & Softer" flash on the wrapper means they're very prone to sticking to your teeth. (At least for the Brownie Batter flavour.)

Good-Sized, Protein Packed And Not Too Sweet
This box of 15 Misfits Brownie Batter protein bars comes in an eye-catching purple and yellow display box. Each bar weighs 50g which is a good size serving in these days of shrinkflation. The bar is only slightly smaller than the packaging and one bar will almost certainly be enough for a very decent snack. The bar is entirely plant-based and dairy-free (other than any cross-contaminants). The inner consists of two layers - one brownie-like and the other caramel-like. This is topped with crispy soya pieces with a chocolate-style outer coating. It all sounds pretty sweet, but the bar is made with Maltitol as the main sweetener which is less sweet than sucrose, doesn't produce the same spike in blood sugar levels and doesn't cause the same level of tooth decay. As a result, the bar doesn't taste as sweet as you might expect. However, Maltitol does have a downside which is the inherent laxative effect when taken in higher levels. The Misfits bar contains a very decent 14g of protein, which is around a quarter to a third of most people's daily requirements. It also provides 174kcal which compares well with alternative snack bars. The texture is quite chewy but it remains soft. This is apparently a new, softer recipe but we didn't try the previous version to compare. Regardless, it holds together well, doesn't melt easily and leaves your hands clean after handling. The chew, lack of sugary sweetness, relatively low calorie count, and the decent amount of protein means we don't feel too guilty about enjoying one of these Misfits bars every now and then, and will happily take them as a treat on some of our longer walks.

Awful taste but at least they’re cheap
Trying to find a protein bar that tastes good. This is not it. At least they’re cheaper than a lot of the others I guess so if you can get over the terrible taste it’s not absurdly expensive like others.

Tasty protein fix, but not quite brownie
I've been trying to cut down on sugar and up my protein, so these Misfits bars caught my eye. First off, the good stuff: they're actually pretty tasty for a protein bar. Not too chalky or artificial-tasting like some others I've tried. The chocolate flavor is decent, and they definitely take the edge off when I'm craving something sweet. The protein content is solid - 15g per bar is no joke. And I love that they're low in sugar. My stomach feels good after eating them, probably thanks to the fiber. Now, let's be real - they don't exactly taste like real brownie batter. If you're expecting that gooey, super sweet brownie experience, you might be disappointed. But for a healthier snack, they're not bad at all. The texture is a bit dense and chewy, which I don't mind, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. They're pretty filling though, which is great for keeping me going between meals. Price-wise, they're a bit on the expensive side, but that seems to be the case with most vegan protein products. Overall, a decent option if you're looking for a vegan, low-sugar protein boost. Just don't expect miracles in the taste department. Good for what they are, but not quite "guilty pleasure" territory.

Misfits are my new favourites
Over the past few years, I'd given up with protein chocolate bars. I found they tasted odd or had weird textures. Misfits has won me back! First of all, they taste amazing. The chocolate actually tastes like chocolate. It's rich and delicious, which is all the more impressive seeing as it is plant-based. If you gave this to me blindfolded, I'd have no idea it was a protein bar or plant-based, honestly. The texture is really great. It's gooey, it's chewy and honestly just like a chocolate caramel bar. There's none of that dry or powdery taste that you find in many protein bar. Finally, I'd say the protein contents are very high in this bar for its size. 14grams is excellent and although the fat content is relatively high (like most protein bars) the saturated fat is fairly low (relative to other bars) and the calories are well below 200. A great bar from misfits and one I look forward to after working out!

Vegan isn't a requirement but really important for some people
I really like these bars. I eat a protein bar every day and have tried lots of brands so was keen to try a new one. I tend to buy bars that have 20g of proteins so these wouldn't be my first choice but I loved eating them. The brownie flavour was a good chocolatey experience that wasn't too sweet. The branding and packaging is well thought through and would definitely stand out in a shop. Being vegan isn't a requirement for me but I appreciate this is really important to some people so this is great. There is a good mix of textures in these bars - silky chocolate, crispy rice and chewy brownie. All make this a lovely bar to eat.

Misfits Vegan Protein Bars
This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it. I was particularly drawn to it, because I am always on the lookout for a filling snack in between meals, and thought that a protein bar might fit the bill. Unfortunately, I just didn't like the taste of the Misfits at all. The brownie element of the bar was weak and quite underwhelming. It also felt like every mouthful was powdery and oily all at the same time. Generally, I found one bar a challenge to finish, and I am not sure that I will have any more from the box. I fully appreciate that taste is subjective, of course, so mileage may vary. Based on the box size, I do feel it provides good value if you like this sort of thing, it just isn't for me, sadly.
