Great camera, great customer service
I bought this camera about a month ago to replace a Furrion that I was never really happy with and had become so blurry it was unusable. Based on price, I was a little leery at first. How well would a camera that costs less than $100 work? Installation was simple, especially since I had the existing shark fin from my previous camera. I had a couple of questions, and emailed customer service. Their response was quick and helpful. I also requested a windshield mount for the monitor. This will be sent for free, but you have to request it. Based on installation, customer service and testing at home, I gave it 5 stars. Prior to submitting a review, however, I wanted to test it on the road. We just returned from a 2,000 mile trip and I would still give it 5 stars! The camera and monitor (7”!) preformed flawlessly. There was no loss of signal at all, and the picture is crisp. It really helped out backing into sites. The only con is using this with the shark fin. The fin causes the camper to point down more than I’d like, not giving a very distant view. Its great for backing and seeing what is immediately behind the camper, but I’d like just a little bit more distance. I’ll work on a way to adjust the camera angle.

Great Image and Great Value
Very nice system and good quality. Clear image on monitor, easy to adjust and easy to attach to the vehicle. Installation instructions are clear and the camera was easily installed on my 1978 Lincoln. I feel that this unit was a good value for my needs. Would highly recommend this unit.

Good rear observation camera
UPDATE: After about 8 months of being outside the camera mount on the trailer is rusted and will need some paint or rust neutralizer to fix the rust. The car camera mount suction latch (plastic) broke and made the mount unable to be used due to no ability to suction the device. We taped the remaining stand to a computer mouse pad. This is a much better solution than the original. The mouse pad keeps the monitor from moving, it is not permanently attached to the dash and can be easily removed when not it use much easier than the suction cup option. Also, the monitor can be moved while driving by the passenger allowing them to watch or turned towards the driver or adjusted for both passenger an driver to view. I do not use this as a backup camera. The camera was purchased not for the backup ability, but to use on the highway as a rearview mirror substitute while towing a travel trailer. The bracket that allows for tilting the camera does not allow the camera to be raised high enough to comfortably view traffic. I had to leave one of the adjustment screws out of the bracket to raise it high enough. Cranked it down tight and that seems to work. There is not much vibration here, so I just check it frequently. Plus, if it drops down when I am driving i would know it immediately. The camera works fine and the picture quality is good. I was concerned with lag, but it has very little lag and is most often in near real time. The lines on the screen help with changing lanes. I don't have a Furion pre-wired base, but the installation was fairly easy and straightforward. Like many others, I had to use my power source from the lights at the top of the trailer and that means at least the parking lights of the vehicle must be on for it to work and receive power. Works both day and night. Adjustments and settings are a bit cumbersome at first, but once we learned how to do it, they were much more friendly. The manual for adjustment info was seriously lacking and pretty much worthless. We did it by trial and lots of errors. Overall, for the price, I got what I needed. A safe way to watch the traffic behind me. I have tried to use it a little as a backup camera, but I wouldn't use it without a spotter. I didn't buy it for a backup camera to park our travel trailer and not sure any camera would make me comfortable. The screen size is very nice. I would not want to go smaller. I had to glue the screen shade in place because it kept falling off. The windshield attachment arrangement is Rube Goldberg and a real pain. Couldn't someone make a small weighted stand? Our dashboard surface will not allow suction and I am not going to put screws in anywhere. So that leaves the suction to the windshield option on an SUV where the windshield is about 100 yards down the hood (just kidding) but really a long ways and a pain to reach it to suction this thing. We also put a rubber brace underneath the unit to keep some weight and vibration off the suction arm. Not really a satisfactory solution. I need one of these and this one is priced right and does the job. I could recommend it you based on these expectations.

Rohent rear view camera system
Our 5th wheel RV had no camera on the back. So, I started looking for something for a decent price. This Rohent camera sounded good. After receiving the camera, I proceeded to mount the camera on our trailer. I hooked it up to the center marker light and mounted the camera. I tested the system to make sure it worked. It worked good and the picture was clear. Just this last week, we camped for two days and I was able to test out the system on the road. Since I tow my trailer with my headlights/taillights on, I was able to view the vehicles behind me. I have uploaded a short video. Thank you Rohent for a very good product.

AMAZING Quality + Excellent Value = No Regret!
This Rohent RV Backup Camera is very well made, packaged with everything needed for several types of installation, and by far exceeded my expectations. Specifics: 1. Build Quality: The camera feels sturdy and expensive due to the mostly metal construction. 2. Image Quality: The monitor delivers HD quality images at an SD price and offers many customizable settings so that you see exactly what you need to see and exactly how you want to see it. Add a memory card to use the camera's video recording feature. 3. I needed a rear camera setup that could transmit a wireless signal about 50 feet, which is possible but improbable with some competing products at a comparable price. With this Rohent camera I received an excellent signal and image from 50 feet ten time over...and then some! See the photo showing a very strong signal almost 800 feet from camera on back of parked RV. 4. Included Installation Hardware: You get everything needed for multiple types of installation for both the camera and the monitor, PLUS a power wire splitter that allows you to test the system before installation. In only a few minutes I installed the camera unit using the existing Furrion mount on back of my TT. The in-cabin monitor comes with a dash mount bracket and a windshield suction cup bracket. Bottom Line: If you need an RV backup camera I highly recommend this Rohent R9 model. If I need another such camera in the future, I would buy this exact camera again.

Easy installation; flawless performance; good value
This wireless camera system works great on my 32' 5th wheel. Currently using both cameras on the back of the trailer — one looking back for traffic and "long range" backing; the other pointed to the ground directly below the back of the trailer and out about10' behind for assisting with those last few feet of backing into a tight campground spot. Works EXCELLENT! So much easier to navigate when you can actually see what's immediately behind the trailer. Parking lines can be overlaid on each camera signal (only displaying on screen in a "full camera" view as opposed to the split screen view). The parking lines are adjustable left to right, narrower and wider, and up and down, however, there is no skewing or aspect ratio adjustment so you are unlikely to get the lines to mark an actual path of travel — I got mine as close as possible and just made a mental note as to how the parking lines relate to the actual space surrounding the rear of the trailer. Install was easy, relatively quick, and setup is a breeze. Cameras connect almost immediately once power is supplied (in my case, via turning on the parking or headlights since the wireless cameras are tapping power from one of the trailer's marker lights). Wireless connection during travel is consistent with no appreciable camera lag. Overall, a great value system and a superb add-on to make RVing life safer and easier! Happy with this system and purchase — should have done it sooner!

I'm backup in business ....
Prior to this system, I had a solar-powered camera that worked, but the screen was small and the image was not particularly clear. Then the whole thing died, so it was time for another. But not another one of those. This camera requires external power, but it wasn't at all difficult to wire it into the backup lights on the car -- the wire, about six feet long, reached from the license plate, through a pre-existing opening in the bumper next to the license plate lights, up through the trunk, then up the trunk lid to the backup light, which was accessible once I popped off the cover. I used the taps that came in the camera package to connect the power. I stuck the monitor on the windshield next to the rear-view mirror, which really doesn't interfere with visibility in any meaningful way, ran the wire around the windshield (shown in the picture before I came up with a decent way of making it stay up), and around the interior of the car. I put a cigarette plug (not included) on the wire -- again, about six feet long, although in my case that was a little short so I added a couple of feet of my own wire. There is a cigarette plug included in the package intended for test purposes, but I decided against hacking that up since I had some of my own. All done, car into reverse, and after a half-second delay the image shows on the display, bright, crisp, and clear. I physically adjusted the camera down a little -- it adjusts up and down, but not side-to-side -- then fiddled with the screen display lines a bit just because there's a menu option for it and it was a thing to play with. They claim it's a 150 degree viewing angle, which seems about right. I've never had a problem with the wireless signal being picked up by the monitor. Bottom line: The whole thing works well and was easy to install. Recommended!

Viewing Angle NOT As Claimed
I bought and tested four backup/rearview cameras; Yakry, Amtifo, Rohent, and Dohonest. Each of their viewing angles varied, but none of them could be considered “wide-angle” cameras. None of them could be used as BOTH a back-up camera AND a rearview mirror camera. That is; 1) the camera could be aimed down to include seeing your RV’s bumper, but it would only see back 10-25 ft and couldn’t see traffic behind you (unless you were at a stoplight or were a millisecond from being rear-ended), or 2) the camera could be aimed to see the horizon and all traffic behind you, but it would only see forward a short way and you couldn’t see your bumper. In other words, every camera could only be used as a back-up camera OR a rearview camera, but could NOT be used for BOTH functions. Put another way, none of them compete with Furrion cameras. You get what you pay for. I have seen other reviewer’s photos of their camera monitors for some of these cameras and the viewing angles were much better than what I experienced, but as I mentioned, none of the cameras I tested performed that way. I’m not sure why that is. The manufacturers claim viewing angles of 120º, 150º, or even 170º, while one just says “wide-angle”. I measured the viewing angles and distances. Here’s what I found: YAKRY: 84.3º horizontal viewing angle, when aimed to see the bumper the vertical viewing angle would only see rearward 11.1 ft from the bumper. AMTIFO: 89.4º horizontal viewing angle, when aimed to see the bumper the vertical viewing angle would only see rearward 13.0 ft from the bumper. ROHENT: 93.5º horizontal viewing angle, when aimed to see the bumper the vertical viewing angle would only see rearward 15.3 ft from the bumper. DOHONEST: 105.2º horizontal viewing angle, when aimed to see the bumper the vertical viewing angle would only see rearward 26.5 ft from the bumper. None of the viewing angles were anywhere near the claimed viewing angles. Not even close. Talk about false advertising! Each camera’s 7” monitor had a great, high-def, 1080, picture and the setup Menus were very close to each other. The menu functions varied and some functions didn’t work as advertised but the system was still useable. The adjustable green, yellow, red distance graphic was only useful when the camera was aimed at the bumper. This function was worthless if the camera was aimed higher to include traffic behind you. All of the cameras had the necessary parts to connect to the Furrion-ready housing and wiring. All of the cameras were easily installed in less than 30 minutes. But the limitation in the viewing angle of every camera forces you to make some decisions; - Which camera to buy? (The Dohonest has the best viewing angles.) - Use the camera as a back-up camera? - Use the camera as a rearview camera? - Do you even want to buy one of these cameras? (I’m returning them all!) If you decide to buy one of these cameras and are thinking about which way to aim it—back-up or rearview—consider this. If you count up all the hours you will be driving your rig, how much time is spent driving on the road versus how much time is spent backing up? I think you will get the most out of the camera as a rearview unit. You’re going to be able to see that guy who is tailgating you before you hit the blinker and start to slow down to make a turn, or change lanes. Whereas if you’re backing up your partner can hop out and help or you can get out and check your clearance yourself until you get it parked. To me, the consequences of a mishap at 50-60 miles per hour with other vehicles moving at the same speed all around you far outweigh bumping into a parking stanchion, tree, or other vehicle at 1 or 2 miles per hour! One option you may consider is this. A couple of the manufacturers offer additional equipment at no charge. All you have to do it ask for it. You could get an SC card, a side-view camera, or even an additional back-up/rearview camera for free. So why not mount two cameras on the back of your RV; one aimed at the bumper and one aimed at the horizon. Because every one of the cameras have monitors that can show up to four cameras in the system. This way, you could have your cake (a back-up camera) and eat it too (have a rearview camera, as well) and it’s still much cheaper than a Furrion.

Rear view camera for 8m caravan
Highly recommend this product, needed a rear view camera system as travelling down to Spain. Very easy to install with only a power and ground needed to the camera. Connected this to fridge ignition on wiring. The screen just plugs into the cigar lighter connection. Signal is great and picture quality is also good. With an additional SIM you can also record on loop. Got supplied a second free camera, I fitted this under the rear and still the signal is good. Why pay huge money for expensive products when this is simply excellent Thank you

Amazing camera / screen in every way :)
Been after a reversing camera for a while with a screen .for my Volvo xc90 But didn’t want the hassle of running wires all through the car . Then saw this amazing wireless package :) even tho ment for RVs I saw it and love it from how it’s well packed to what u get and the quality of it is just great . Clear instructions . And so simple to fit . I’ve tested mine as soon as got it with the help of the free testing cable . And worked perfect . Just in middle or mounting my screen to the dash hence the pics . But from the testing the picture quality is so clear and with the 7” screen and split screen u can see it all . So well . So can see back and front same time and allso record allso . Via SD card .
