There is an issue with this blanket. If you merely remove it from it's case, with bare hands you will get small shards of glass fibre onto your hand. It's like tiny needles piercing your skin. One of the photos shows someone using it with bare hands and, nowhere is there a warning that you need gloves. Besides, in an emergency people might not have the time to slip on some gloves. Even if you want to show someone how to use or for general training, this is a hazard. It took a long time for the irritation in the hand to stop, had to use tape and lots of hand washing to get the shards out of my hand. Would suggest finding a better quality one or keep gloves along with the blanket.

This product is not as described. The advertised images are from foreign country. The particles stick all over the body. The product has been cut in 3 sides. It does not have strap how it is shown in the image. I tested with the fire stick It did not catch the fire. But, if I show it on the gas stove flame, It melts. It is like something is better than nothing, kind of product.

This fire blanket is one of those things you hope you never have to use but are so glad you do have. It feels well made and sturdy, and the packaging is easy to open quickly in an emergency. It gives peace of mind knowing there’s an extra layer of protection beyond a fire extinguisher. Perfect for kitchens, garages, or anywhere you want to be prepared. If you want a simple safety tool that could make a real difference in a scary situation, this fire blanket is a smart choice. I would definitely keep one in my home and recommend it to others.

These are relatively low price easy to put around the house, light weight, easy to use, when it unfolds its a good size to smother a reasonable flame. I recommend hanging them on something solid like a nail so you can pull it down to open it up. We have them in the kitchen, pellet stove, entrances, etc. Less messy to smother a flame than blast it with a fire extinguisher. Though as a Fire Fighter I would recommend having both and more available.

Haven't used this product yet, and hope I don't have to, but if it works as advertised it will be well worth the money
