Icons The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr Building Set for Adults - The Lord of the Rings Collectible for Fans - Includes 10 Minifigures - Gift for Men and Women - 10333

10/10 This was so much fun to build! Took me roughly 15 hours in total. It was well worth the money, in my opinion, but I also have a themed basement where I can leave it on display, so it doubles as decor. I loved the attention to detail, like how they included a couple of orc helmets that looked like the ones Sam and Frodo wore in Mordor. I did come across one missing piece in the whole set-- a small gray slanted brick that's fairly common. I had an extra in my stash, so it was no big deal. I've pictured it here, in case anyone is interested. I've also pictured the extra pieces leftover upon completion, mostly small bits and bobs. I loved the mechanics of the gate and throne opening, though the gate lever felt a little flimsy for everything that was attached to it. I appreciated them leaving the eye to last because it helped finish on a really high note after all the black. Joining the separate sections was super satisfying and the tower designs were great. I wish the sword/spears that make up the design on the top front were attached in a way that they were able to be kept straighter, but that's me being OCD. I also wish the light for the eye was a switch so I could leave it on sometimes rather than have to hold it in to turn it on, but I'll probably end up getting the light kit for it anyway so no big deal. Overall, a great and super rewarding build!

This set feels like a real event, not just another LEGO build. The design absolutely captures the dark atmosphere of Barad dur, and there are so many little details packed in that it stayed interesting the whole way through. It took a good amount of time, but that honestly made finishing it feel even more satisfying. Easily one of the coolest display pieces in my collection.

Fun build!!! My teenager loved this set as it is super detailed. Lego is so great at making sure you have everything you need.

Everything was perfect. The product arrived exactly as described, in excellent condition, and works flawlessly. I have no complaints at all. I’m very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely recommend it.

With this kit, I enjoyed assembling all the small pieces. It’s obvious a lot of effort was put into making it look nice. It definitely has a great appearance, though I wish the eye lighted up.

Waiting now for Minas Tirith

Who doesn't want this iconic tower from their childhood? This turned into a family project to get it built. With lego sets this big expect to get frustrated but it will be worth it. Instructions were easy to follow in most cases. We did have a couple disputes on which piece was being shown.

Great!
