Not only is it nice for them to sit on, but it's an excellent landing mat for those moments when they decide to superman themselves off of the couch. It's cute, comfortable, supportive, and holds up to every day usage. The cover is washable, and easy to spot clean. I feel like this was worth the money that we spent. It's perfect for naps, snacks, story time, and Ms.Rachel. When it isn't being used for that, it's a makeshift jungle gym, or a tunnel for my son to crawl through. It has easily become one of the better purchases that we've made for our tiny human in the last year.
