What a product! Just don't mistake if for it's stringed instrument friend and put your fi gers anywhere near the blade! I've been looking to add a Mandoline slicer to my kitchen but didn't think I'd use it enough to justify a pricier one, so I purchased this as a lightning deal for under $10! I've definitely used it for making this slices of vegetables or quick shredding, but what I loved most was completely unexpected: the small vegetable peeler that accompanied the mandolin! It's so much easier to use than my two more expensive veggie peelers. Honestly, I'd buy this again just for that cute little peeler.

Overall great product but the size is a lot smaller than what’s in the picture. Also the part that’s supposed to stick to your veggies to keep your hand safe doesn’t really hold on to anything I tried a bunch of different veggies to test it.

I couldn’t resist at this price. Works well. Has a nice variety of blades but I have no idea what the egg shaped thing is for. It’s sturdy enough and makes quick work of slicing or shredding.

First off, the quality is less than I expected. The first use of the peeler (cucumber) and the blade separated from the handle. Luckily it was easy to put back together, but not a great start. The bowl and blade attachment was much smaller than I expected. The blade attachment is in the middle (should be closer to edge) so there is room to slide and slice. It had trouble cutting a cucumber, and not enough room to slide to put any power behind it. When I tried to press down for more power, the bowl would pop-up (since I had to put the cucumber on the outside edge). Again, much better if the cutting edge was towards the outside of the bowl, so you could cut middle out. The slide (or piece that goes on top) I had a lot of difficulty using. Mainly because to cut anything you had to start at the edge and go into the middle) the bowl kept popping up and/or sliding out from underneath. I finally gave up on trying to use the top piece and just held the vegetables with my hands-i was able to get enough pressure to cut, but cut up my fingers in the process. The worst cane when the bowl would pop-up from underneath and the cutting blades would hit/cut my fingers. The blades were sharp, but I did have trouble with cutting cucumber, potatoes, cheese, etc. The top piece doesn't lock on to the top of the bowl, it fits-but not securely. When the bowl popped out from underneath, the ipd would come off and my veggies would spill out over the table. The tray that holds the cutting blades has only 4 slots, and there are 6 attachments. Therefore everything cannot be stored together neatly. Over-all, being smaller would be due to my own lack of not paying attention. The problems with quality and design are really things to consider. I wouldn't suggest that kids use this because of the poor design, it is easy to get cuts.

It works to slice but the blade that is supposed to cut even slices isn't smooth like it should have been so a piece of cucumber got stuck and I sliced my skin off.

First off when I got product it sat for a couple of weeks because there were no instructions. Finally I decided to try and figure out. Used for shredding worked good. Put in dishwasher and it melted. Thought that was weird so looked on box and it said not to put in dishwasher. Now no instructions that you usually read and find out about product and how to use but they put it on the box. So I basically used it once!

I dread peeling and cutting veggies but love this product. It has made it so much easier and i actually look forward to using it! Includes a nice selection of different attachments. And the storage bowl is great too!

Just absolutely the greatest tool. It is used almost daily, which makes it extremely valuable.
