People are having user error. I haven’t had any issues with the LED lights however you cannot adjust them. They are doing what they do and they are very bright. Sometimes I even have to cover them up at night or just unplugged the hub the animation only happens when it’s uploading or downloading data, other than that, it breathes different colors at a slow rate. The size of the product is about the palm of your hand.
