About to test this out over spring break walking the streets on vacation. Straps and support are perfect and comfy. Since i have issues with my shoulders this was important for me. Her tail out seems to bother her so we might tuck it in. 12 week old Peke-a-Tese! Size small is almost too big but she will grown into it. Back is 10 inches, weight 6 lbs. Hope this helps someone with sizing!

I LOVE this dog backpack carrier... especially for our stubborn mini dachshund. He’ll hike for a bit, then decides he’s done… and hops in like a king. Now he gets to “go hiking” while I do all the actual hiking. It fit easy in my backpack and he is safe inside it. Its a great value for your money. Everyone we pass stops, laughs, and comments because it’s hilarious seeing him just chilling, legs out, watching the world go by. He’s so comfortable that he eventually falls asleep back there like he’s on a spa retreat. Meanwhile, I’m sweating and carrying him. Super comfortable for him, easy to use, and a total game changer for small dogs who want adventure without the effort. It’s a win for him...and honestly, worth it for the laughs alone.

My dog weighs 22 lbs and I purchased a size M. It was perfect, she was comfortable and it was durable and multi functional. I can now take her ever where.

This carrier is perfect if you have a smaller dog or have a very strong back/ no back issues Unfortunately my dog is 30lb and I am approx 150 lbs, I did not have confidence that I would not cause injury to myself

At one point in time my husband and my primary (only) transportation was his Harley. I hated leaving my fur baby, Mr. Wlison, behind all the time. So one day I strapped him into a baby carrier designed much like this, only didn't have as many adjustments (or a tail hole!) He squirmed a little at first, but once we got on the motorcycles, he absolutely loved it! I'm not sure what happened to it, but we haven't had one, or the need for one, in several years. But I have been looking for another for quite some time because Mr. Wilson SO loves getting air in his hair, he really enjoyed riding with us on the bike, and he's pretty old now. I wanted to give him that thrill that he loved so much at least one more time. Then I saw this and couldn't believe it! I was ecstatic, and ordered one immediately. Mr. Wilson is a Silky Terrier and weighs about 20 pounds. His length and distance between legs measured in the medium size range, but his chest girth was several centimeters less than recommended. However, I went for the medium anyway, and he's just fine in it, chest and all. But that's one of the reasons I love the fact that all but one of the places his appendages go have the capability to be adjusted for a custom fit. As do all the straps the carrier utilizes. The only one not adjustable is for the tail. The buckles are made of very sturdy hard plastic and they're thick, so I doubt they'd break very easily. Also, most of the straps have clips that hold the loose ends in place so they're not flapping in the dog's face, or mine, because of the wind (these guys thought of everything!) The stitching is good and strong, and the material is of good quality. The section that contains his upper chest and shoulders has comfortable, yet thick padding. The carrier holds Mr. Wilson's weight and size without issue. And he is as happy as a clam in it! Now for the negative (if you choose to call it that): The hip straps are of equal length, however, only one is adjustable. Because my frame is relatively small, this design makes the buckle sit on my hip bone, rather than the middle of my lower back. Which can be slightly uncomfortable during certain movements. But a small price to pay for my fur-baby's extreme pleasure. For all you small to medium sized dog owners, this is a MUST HAVE! (Oh, and in case you're wondering, we ordered the pink by accident.)
