The Universal Buddy XL Can Cooler is hands down one of the best coolers I’ve used. It keeps drinks ice cold for hours, even outside in the heat, and fits multiple can sizes perfectly without constantly switching inserts. The build quality feels solid and durable, and the grip is comfortable in your hand. I also love that it doesn’t sweat or leave water everywhere. Great for softball tournaments, tailgates, camping, or just relaxing at home. Definitely worth the purchase!

I’m incredibly impressed with the Universal Buddy XL. I was skeptical that one cooler could actually hold everything from a 12oz soda to a 24oz tallboy, but it really does! The insulation is top-notch—my drink stayed ice-cold even after hours out in the sun. It feels very durable, looks sleek in Black, and fits surprisingly well in my truck's cup holder. This is a must-have for anyone who wants one cooler for every type of drink.

I'm So Excited!!💯🥳 For years I've been searching for something like this for my Propel and Gatorade G Fit bottles. Sick and tired of waking up every few hours to switch my bedside bottle with a new colder bottle thru the night. Came across this XL cooler and both fit perfectly!!!🤩 It's spring in Florida. I've used it thru the night several times with a whole bottle. Works great. I am able to enjoy some refreshing cold gulps without getting out of bed. Summer is on the way so I will see how it works in the hotter weather. Side Note: Best to make sure the liquid in the bottle doesn't have anything above the screw top lid. It warms up and will mix with the colder liquid below the top. Hope that makes sense. Just make sure all the liquid inside the bottle is at a lower level inside the canister. Also the Propel bottle fits a titch better than the G FIT bottle. Which is what I needed. *It didn't fit BodyArmor and regular Gatorade bottles. So to heck with those I say. If these companies can't design their bottles properly. I don't need them.

Love it! I always like my Diet Cokes a little slushy, so I put them in the freezer for a few minutes. The Frost Buddy keeps it slushy for a couple of hours (indoors). I usually have to take it out and let the last icy bits defrost to drink. This is way better than a traditional koozie for sure. I can speak from the POV of a Diet Coke snob - this thing is amazing to keep my bottled DC cold for a very long time. This helps when you get busy or distracted by a task.

EDIT 02/24/2024 – I’m bumping this up a star because after a few months of use I feel like it works SO well with my go-to 20 oz. G-Zero bottles that the tight fit of the 16 oz. Monster cans was over-emphasized in my initial review. I also inadvertently discovered that the painted finish on it is ridiculously durable after accidentally dropping it on a rough concrete sidewalk and finding only a few minor scratches. I’m impressed enough with this cooler that I ultimately purchased a second one when it went on a sale here in the middle of January with the intent of stretching and ‘training’ one of the lids to fit my Monster cans more easily (as well as to have a spare cooler). After a few uses with the cans I found that the lid indeed does fit them well now, but also confirmed my initial theory that it seems to permanently stretch the lid slightly, making it a teensy bit sloppy on the 20 oz. bottles. Taken as a whole though I think this thing is pretty great and easily worthy of four stars. Original review: I notice Frost Buddy seems to have merged this new “Universal Buddy XL Bottle Cooler” item with their discontinued “Big Buddy Bottle Cooler and Cocktail Shaker.” It makes it a bit harder to make an informed decision since the vast majority of the current reviews are about the old version (which I’d tried previously and returned for other reasons), but I’m here to review the new one that just became available and is advertised in this listing. Overall, I LOVE this drink cooler, but it doesn’t quite live up to the marketing. The build quality and construction seem quite nice, with a rubberized base and attractive finish (I went with the matte black). Most importantly though, it definitely keeps my bottled drinks colder for HOURS longer than the old cheap neoprene foam coolers I’d been using before. The only issue I have is with the advertised compatibility touted in the marketing, but it’s a significant issue for me. My daily drink of choice is Gatorade G-Zero (20 oz. bottle), but I also occasionally want a boost and will go with a Monster Ultra energy drink (16 oz. can). Both of these containers are listed as compatible with the cooler. The Gatorade bottle fits PERFECTLY with the “short” lid and no insert and has met or exceeded my expectations in almost every way. The bottle fits perfectly and the lid tightens down just right to secure the bottle from jiggling around while still being easy to use. However, my 16 oz. Monster can, when using the included insert (oriented properly) and the appropriate short lid is extremely difficult to tighten down without exerting quite a bit of force to stretch out the rubber of the lid enough to allow the threads between the ‘jar’ and lid portions of the cooler to catch and tighten. It’s arduous enough that I fear using it repeatedly with a 16 oz. can will stretch the rubberized lid to the point that it either rips, or that it’ll deform and no longer fit my Gatorade bottles properly. The “tall” lid is useless for either container. For me this item is still a keeper since it handles my primary Gatorade bottle quite well, but for the sake of safety I’m not using it for my 16 oz. cans, which is too bad (and is the reason for the reduced star rating). I feel like it could be perfect with just a couple tweaks, but as it is currently designed I wouldn’t consider it a good fit for the 16 oz. cans it’s marketed to accommodate. I’d really hoped I’d found a good “universal” cooler for my usual drinks, especially at this kind of premium price point, but I guess it wasn’t to be.

This is the ONLY insulated cooler I could find that actually fits my 16.9 oz Diet Sunkist orange sodas and keeps them cold most of the day! It also fits my bottled waters perfectly. I don't drink beers, tall thin fizzy drinks or any short canned drinks, only the 16.9 oz diet soda's or bottled waters and could never find a good insulated cooler that fit those sizes until now. It's expensive but worth every penny!

Recommend 10/10!! Keeps my soda cold for about 4 hours then it stays cool for another hour or 2. Very nice texture/grip and made with great quality. One of the best investments I’ve ever made!! The size was a little big when I first used it but I think that’s bc my brain knows the size of a 20oz. After just a couple hours it just felt like an insulated cup like a Stanley. There’s a lot of color options and would make a great gift for any soda drinker!

I have been looking for a can cozi to keep my bottle of soda cold. This has met my criteria and i am satisfied!! Only negative thing i can say, it does require a really good grip to hold it. I added one of those stretchy bracelets that most people like to wear. I think, one more stretchy bracelet will help with holding on to the can/bottle of pop
