Amazing tool. I got some projects that came with SMD chips and couldn’t make it work with my typical soldering iron so I tried this. I love watching it melt the soldering paste and the little chips with align themselves and solder to the board. You can dial in the exact temperature you need. It heats up so fast when you take it off the base. Comes with tweezers but I’m getting some that are magnetic. The air volume control is very nice, you can give it a gentle air or set it to damn near blow the chips off the board. I’m so glad I bought this and have even purchased some SMD practice boards. Make sure you get some good high quality soldering paste.

Great product, works as expected!

A couple days before my classmate had to demo his final project he sends me a picture of his board all messed up asking if I can help him because I’m the goat when it comes to soldering. I can do SMD with an iron most of the time but looking at the picture I thought an air tool would be best for the job. I did a quick search on Amazon and found this item. It was next morning delivery too!! So I get to the lab set it up and went to work fixing my friends board. I was happy to see they include a selection of tips from fine to wide. The temperature control had three presents that can each be individually adjusted which is pretty cool. Something neat about this tool is when you put the hand held part in the holder (or turn it upside down) it shuts the heat off and runs the fan for a bit to cool it down. When you hold it like you’re going to solder (or reflow) it begins to heat up. It heats up pretty quickly (I was impressed). I didn’t make a fuss about measuring the temperature or even really reading the instructions, it was extremely easy to use. For the price this purchase was totally worth it. I used it to fix his board, I used it on a couple circuits for myself, as my classmates noticed it they began to ask to use it on their boards too. It was a big hit in the lab, everyone who used it had great results from soldering components to using it on heat shrink tubing it worked great! I would definitely recommend this tool! One last thing to add. You can also adjust the amount of air it blows. Using a fine tip and turning down the airflow it’s extremely accurate and precise.

Have no issues with it so far works as expected. Sometimes the auto off function doesn't work correctly.
