This safe is well made for a domestic version and in the box you get robust wall/floor fittings and two emergency keys plus a clear user guide. Inside the safe there's a removable shelf and felt lining - this 28L version easily takes an A4/foolscap folder with room for passports etc. too. You do need 4AA cells which aren't supplied which are easily fitted and setting the combination is easy. Opening and closing the safe is quite straightforward and the emergency keys are a handy backup. If I had a minor gripe the keys could be a bit larger for my 92 year old Dad but they're adequate. Overall, another example of good quality/value from the desertcart Basics range and ideal for an average home to keep documents etc. secure.

A: Yes, you should have no problem storing a bottle of Jack or more in it.

**Q: My key stripped and my keypad ran out of battteries. Am I screwed?**
A: Couldn't find keys and while my code "appeared" to work the thing would NOT UNLOCK.  For the heck of it I tried the 159# and it did show "unlock" .... wow could not believe that!  However still wouldn't open so I picked it up and turned it on it's side and banged it a few times and then tried the code and BOOM - popped right open. However, now when I try my regular four digit code I get that red exclamation point- Great now I have a new code??? How do I reset that thing!?

A: It has holes drilled to be mounted securely so logic will tell you regarding how water proof that makes it. Fire "proof" no, but more accurately, fire resistant.

**Q: I see the mounting holes in the back: are there mounting holes in the bottom of the safe as well?**
A: I see the mounting holes in the back. If I do not want to mount it using those back hole, how can I seal them. Does it come with some caps or sealer to seal those back holes.

Only complaint is about the delivery. As we were going away ina few days, I ordered this Amazon product using Amazon Prime, and then the fun started with emails saying it was delayed. I complained and it was cancelled and re-ordered by them with expedited delivery so it would (I was promised) definitely arrive the next day. Not according to the next email I received - it was now going to be delivered two days after the original one should have been! Arrived with the words "Security Safe" emblazoned on the package. Not the first problem, Prime is turning in to a bit of a joke. However, once it did arrive it is well made and easy to program. Plenty big enough for valuables, passports etc. Very pleased with it, excellent value for money
