I bought this to replace my electric mini chopper, which had begun to smell weird, despite careful cleaning. This is so easy to use, provided you don't overfill it, and is excellent for chopping as roughly or as finely as you like (though not great for chopping cranberries). It is very easy to clean, although you do need to shake the water out of the lid sometimes when washing up as it is not watertight. It is also very compact, so very easy to get out of the cupboard, without faffing around with the electric motor or having to unplug something else (there's never enough sockets in my kitchen!). I would definitely recommend this. Update Sadly I now no longer use this. It just doesn't chop anything very well anymore, despite the 'stay sharp' claim. I can barely chop even a quarter (or less) of an onion without an enormous amount of effort. I have gone back to using a knife and chopping board, even though it means I cry a lot chopping onions! My rating drops to two stars just because it lasted about 3 months, so I got 'some' use out of it.

I absolutely love this product! It's so easy to cut up veggies quickly and can shave so much time off prep time. It's even hardy enough to chop up harder veggies like carrots and parsnips, I just simply roughly chop a little smaller than the softer foods such as onions and peppers. You can adjust the size of by pulling the toggle more or less times. It's particularly useful when making meals you might want to hide veggies in such as bolognaise, chilli and pies. Highly recommend and great price. Has become one of my favourite kitchen gadgets!

This was asked by Amazon, after "easy to clean" and "easy to use" - no idea what they mean in this context (I know what sheerness means otherwise). Anyway , great little tool. My only complaint is that the container stained after I'd used it to chop carrots and I couldn't get it clean again. Maybe a glass container would be better. Otherwise, v good.

This has turned out to be a great buy. When it arrived I was a bit disappointed and wondered if I had wasted my money but then I used it and boy does it chop. I would warn you not to let go of the handle (that you have to pull to get it to work) as I have let go a couple of times and it snaps down on your finger and is very sore. I am just a bit clumsy so most people would not do this so it isn't likely to be an issue. It chops very well. I have so far used it mainly for chopping salad ingredients really small. Onions, cucumber, celery, garlic, onion and peppers. I would not suggest using it for tomatoes unless you want them mushed. It is easy to clean and I just put it in the dishwasher. I put the blade part in the cutlery section of the machine. I have washed it loads of times and it is fine to put in the dishwasher. It is a lot tougher than it looks. Highly recommend this and I will be buying one for my son and his girlfriend as I know they would like it too.

SERIOUSLY RUBBISH!!! I was so excited to use it and was showing off in front of my brother at what a bargain I got. Popped the garlic in and pulled the handle, nothing happened, so I did it again, the blades fell out the lid and refused to go back on, the pull didn’t pull anymore. I just sat there and looked as my brother said ‘should’ve bought a better one’. SERIOUSLY RUBBISH DO NOT BUY! Tupperware does one that I’ve seen being used and it’s amazing, I should’ve used the £8.60 I spent on this RUBBISH towards the £35 Tupperware one that ACTUALLY WORKS!!

Excellent little gadget. I wondered if it would be too small but it's perfect for a couple. Photo shows size relative to a potato peeler. You do need to chop veg into chunks first but it's perfect for coleslaw, soups etc as you can determine how finely chopped you want things. Very useful for a campervan. Cleans easily and was delivered very promptly.

Bit disappointed with the size, as it doesn't hold very much. However pleasantly surprised with the results. Used it for carrots, courgettes, onions, leeks and potatoes and it works a treat! Gives your arm muscle a bit of a work out too! Easy to rinse clean. Great little chopper!

The product worked for the first few weeks, but after a month or so the rope mechanism to spin the blades is stuck all the time. Hassle to chop onions. But easy to clean.
