The wooden food is held together with little velcro pieces so it has a "cutting" sound when you put the wooden knife thru it. The insides of the food are also painted so the pieces look real. Well made. The velcro seems stuck on well. I put the pieces together and pulled them apart several times and gave them to my granddaughter to play with and the velcro is still fully stuck.
