Farmstead Apothecary 100% Natural Anti-Aging Face Cream with Jojoba Oil, 4 oz (Strawberry Gardenia)

I’ve recently begun derma-rolling my face, neck and chest, every two to three weeks. Anyone familiar with the process knows that your skin is immediately a little red and sensitive, and for the next several days it feels a little like sandpaper. And because the process is mildly invasive, you want to apply only the highest quality, natural and gentle products afterward. Especially when you have somewhat sensitive skin like I do. To make a long story a little shorter, I had tried a couple of other moisturizers for this purpose and they both ended up irritating my newly delicate skin and even causing a couple of blemishes which I rarely get. While searching for another I came across this and I’m so happy I did. Most important - the natural ingredients. So hard to find such pure ingredients in a product that comes together so well. And by “comes together”, I mean the texture is luxurious. The thick, velvety cream melts into my skin, and the immediate softening effect lasts. I only use moisturizers at night because I’ve never found one that treated my combination skin well enough that I could layer makeup on top of it. Well, This past Saturday morning I expected to stay in all day so I applied this cream in the morning. A little while later I had to go out so I applied my usual foundation thinking I would probably regret it soon after. I didn’t. This actually worked under my makeup. I won’t claim that it mattified my skin which leans toward the shiny side halfway through the day. But it didn’t interfere, no patches, streaking, etc. I ordered the lemon/lavender and the fragrance is extremely subtle. In fact the lemon and lavender are barely detectable. It smells a little more like clay? What it doesn’t smell like is that awful moldy odor that some “natural products” can’t seem to overcome, so anything else is really beside the point to me. This stuff is great, even for my sensitive skin, even and especially after Derma-rolling. I highly recommend it. P.S. - like some reviewers, when I first opened my jar, there was a “hole” that went straight from the top of the cream to the bottom of the jar so that I wondered if I’d been gipped. But by the next use it had filled in and honestly, you get a pretty generous amount of a really great product for $20. I hope they keep offering this same high quality product and they don’t try to pull a fast one like some other companies do once they’ve attained a loyal following. Just keep up the good work and appreciate your customers like we appreciate your product.

This was my absolute favorite all natural face cream! It blends easily into the skin and smells great too! It’s not too thick and absorbs nicely. I personally get dry skin sometimes but I feel this could be a great after skin care moisturizer for any kind of skin type. The ingredients are ACTUALLY hypoallergenic. 10/10

I was looking to change up my face cream. I am sensitive to soy, so it is important that I find a natural alternative with minimal ingredients. I’ve only used the product a few days but my skin feels softer and more moisturized. I suffer from eczema on my face, an unfortunate side effect from soy if consumed and takes forever to heal. I apply a face oil, a medicated ointment on affected spots, and this cream after which absorbs well into the skin. It doesn’t feel oily or waxy or leaves a white cast that some reviewers mentioned (mind you, I’m very fair-skinned.) The seller/company owner has been very informative, and verified the ingredients, with only cross contamination possible. Since I’m not highly allergic, this was my best option I’ve found. As for scent, it’s subtle and pleasant but I do wish it was more fruity and fun. I hoped with the strawberry gardenia scent that there would be antioxidants as a benefit. All the scents seem to have supplemental benefits. Also the fact that this product is 4 oz and is the same price as my last face cream of 2 oz is a bargain plus being more natural. Overall, I’m going be purchasing again, maybe in a different scent next time!

You have no idea how hard it is finding 100% NATURAL anything nowadays. It literally took me days to come across this amazing product. The first thing is the ingredients, all of them are pronounceable and guess what all real not synthetic crap that most other companies put in their stuff (Water, organic safflower oil organic sunflower oil, non-GMO vegetable emulsifying wax, organic radish root ferment, stearic acid, organic vitamin E oil, organic natural fruit fragrance ) The texture is super nice. Almost like whip cream. Seems thick but instantly hydrates your skin. Does not leave your skin heavy or anything like that. The smell....idk what these people who say they hate the honey&fig...its a very faint smell of honey and natural oils. Does not smell bad and you cannot smell it after you apply to your skin. So again whats the problem ?! lol none Been using a week and I like what I'm seeing so far. People need to realize when you try a new product, you have to give it a chance to work !! Nothing will work day to night. Jeez. Please continue to produce these products for like minded individuals like me who want the most natural stuff available !

What is to not like about a face lotion that is rich and creamy, not sticky and smells incredible? I use this stuff and my kids, husband and even dog love the smell. I seriously have to stop my dog from licking this stuff off my face. I have always gotten the fig and honeysuckle. I use retinol so after I put retinol on, I put a very very very thick layer on my face to help my skin not dry out. I also use it in the mornings. I just rinse my face with water then put a thin layer on. Let that dry and then add another layer to the areas that are dryer and it soaks in perfectly. It seems impossible that with such a thick, creamy lotion that it wouldn't be greasy, but it's not. Even when I put a ton on--I love this stuff! Also, the best part, is obviously the fact it's not toxic. I can't believe this stuff isn't exploding on social media. It's amazing!

It says great for all skin but I don't think it's great for dry skin. I have super super dry skin and right after I put it on it just feels like it evaporates. For 10 minutes maybe my skin is soft but it's gone very quickly and feels like I haven't put anything on. I applied it 4 times throughout the day and it made my skin definitely feel tighter but it was actually more dry than before. The smell is a little off putting but I can handle it. I have to use another moisturizer right now until my new stuff comes in. I'm sure this is great for combination skin but not for dry.

I rarely post reviews, but I am in love. I am very picky about face lotion, as I would like one that is ultra-moisturizing, light on the face, inexpensive, and have the perfect, balanced scent. This lotion is that, in every way possible. I even wish it were a bit more scented, and I am very sensitive to scents. To top it all off, I ordered this in April and started using it in June, and it's now the beginning of November and I still have a little under half left. You truly only need to dip your fingertips into it and that will cover your whole face, easily.

The reason I tried this was because of the pure ingredients. No crap, only good stuff. Bravo! So many products say they are natural, but when you look up the ingredients, they are actually crap. Thanks for making something HEALTHY for skin. The reason I keep buying this is because it works for my skin. I am a quite dry skin 54 years young, but can also get clogged pores with the wrong products. This keeps my skin hydrated all day, great for day or night. My skin is way more supple and hydrated because of this. I look good from using this too! Thank you Farmstead Apothecary for creating this! And, please never stop making this! I've tried tons of stuff in my years and this is the only thing I love. This is the ONLY thing I put on my skin and I get results of healthy looking and feeling skin.
