I really like this story book. It is designed for girls but many of the stories would apply to boys too. The stories have a dilemma, or a tricky situation that arises where the lead character is confused and doesn't know how to manage the situation. For example when friends on a sleepover want to use the mom's best nail varnish and the daughter has to make the choice to follow her mom's rules over her friend's desires. Other situations involve being bullied, when someone breaks a promise. body image, feeling left out, not getting picked to sing in a show when your friend does, when someone invades your personal space and takes over when you are with your friends. In each scenario there is a denouement and the correct guideline is made clear in very simple understandable ways. This is particularly great for girls where friendships mean everything, or for girls who struggle to set boundaries. The pictures are great, and the tone the author has picked is perfect. Highly recommend!

It’s the best book I’ve ever read. It’s not that long.

This book is great to teach young girls, ie grade 2 to 4, really important lessons about friendship, body image, personal space, peer pressure and bullying. The tone and story style is right on for that age. I am putting this on my gift list for sure!

We love this book of short stories. My daughter mostly enjoyed the Sleepover party story as she felt she could relate as this is similar to her group of friends. Such a great way of encouraging confidence and being free to be yourself. A really good read!

I didn't particularly enjoy the book and neither did my daughter. Nothing wrong with it per se (apart from the imagery that screams AI), just not quite the tone or stories that we enjoy. It could be someone else's cuppa tea though.

Loved the Grandma story but an inspiring book for growing girls

My daughters enjoy reading this book very much. They can relate to the stories they read. They love that it teaches them important lessons for life (like treating others as you want to be treated).

The stories help children to think about their actions and reflect on their behavior assessing themselves and how they treat others. It helps children reflect and realize mistakes they make and also correct their actions such as in the story ‘Miranda the Meany.’Each story is fluent, flowing and interesting with the problems and solutions clearly presented by the characters involved in the story. Emotions are described and descriptive and vivid solutions with great values taught comes into play in each story as the conflicts are resolved.It is age appropriate. Even adults can gain positive encouragement from reading these inspiring stories. The mix of the reality situation with the wide diversity of characters was a great touch to show that any one could be inspired and achieve.I highly recommend this books to empower kids, to assist in conflict resolution, to believe in oneself even is you are different from others on the team and inspire their young minds. The story of Savannah Stand Strong was appealing to several children in our group. These kids gained a new perspective and looked past their differences to fit in and were encouraged to pursue their chosen area of interest.These stories are conversation openers that sparks inquisitive questions in the mind of the young and leads to new learning curve and adventures in life.Children could implement the values and behaviors read in these stories to improve their situation and learn to make things better for themselves.The bonus activities are a great addition for children to reflect on the story and process what they read.These stories encourage the intended readers to show interest in many things she may have once shy away from and bring new inspiration to their life for bravery, willingness, doing what is right and positivity.Don’t wait get your copy today or gift a copy.
