The top bar is roughly 25-1/2” high from the top shelf. **Q: Am I missing something? Doesn't seem to be enough pre-drilled holes to follow assembly instructions.** A: Go by the photo. The instructions are incorrect. I did have to make a hole for the bar that goes across the top. There is no hole pre-drilled in it. I don’t have a drill either so I hammered a nail into the center and then forcefully screwed a screw into that hole to make a big enough one. **Q: How much weight can each tier hold?** A: We placed a 20-pound weight on each shelf of this 5 tiers plant rack, which has enough strength to support 20 pounds. **Q: Does this item have to be assembled?** A: This flower stand is assembled by yourself.
