GANGNAM GLOW Hyaluronic Acid Serum 1.01 fl oz

I have been using this Gangnam glow hyaluronic serum for over a week now. I have noticed that my skin feels more hydrated, using it twice a day. I’ve had no issues with any irritation and it’s a nice addition to my skin routine. I really like that it has no scent or fragrance added. It comes in a generous size glass bottle, with the option of a dropper or a cap. My only complaint is there are no instructions in English on the bottle or the box, but the ingredients are listed in English.

(I also have their toner, which I love. It has ceramides and BHA in it -- normally I would not use BHA on my aging skin as it can be drying, but something in this formula just works for my rosacea-prone redness. I can see the redness immediately calm when I use the toner. It doesn't irritate my skin at all. I like all three of the products I have used from Gangnam: toner, this HA serum, and niacinamide (B3) serum--5 stars on the toner.) This is a nice serum. In an ingredients checker there are mostly good and best ingredients, with the 3 worst being fragrance and denatured alcohol, which could irritate the skin. I like the scent - it's herbal - they say it's rosemary and that could be it, but it's quite pleasant. Hyaluronic acid can dry out the skin if you aren't careful. It can pull moisture out of the skin. You must have damp skin and it is better to 'sandwich' it between ingredients - a moisturizer or another type of serum on top will help. But damp skin is a must. Goes on smoothly. I pat and press it on my skin. You don't need much. HA has limited uses as it really doesn't absorb into our skin. And it can dry out your skin if you don't use it properly - you can do a little researching on that. Overall, it's a nice serum. Doesn't irritate my skin despite the fragrance and alcohol.

This stuff is niiiice. It smells to me like a more pine scented tea tree fragrance, and spreads easily all over my face. I have been having a little difficulty with the dropper top, sometimes it doesn’t seem to push/suck the serum in and out, but other times it’s fine – I can’t find any air leaks so I’m not sure what that’s about. Most of the time it works perfectly fine though, if not I’d quickly resort to dumping it out onto my hand to use because I need more of this stuff on my faaaace.. and neck and chest! It has seemed to give my skin a little boost of that “fresh skin out of the shower” look which is the BEST. It’s hard to find a serum or lotion that does that anymore, but this one does and I’m pleasantly surprised. 10/10 recommend to try this out if you feel stuck in a skincare rut and need something new to try!

I am not at all impressed with this product. In fact, I am downright disappointed. I have used it for a couple of days and it does nothing at all for my skin. I have been using hyaluronic acid regularly for years and I know how my skin plumps up and feels soft and smooth for quite a while after. This however has no such effect. My skin does not glow or appear plumped or soft or anything else. It has synthetic collagen and panthenol which should at least give a smooth feel but the quantity appears so little that it is not sufficient to give that effect. They have shown a model who is young with obviously lovely skin using this. Most people that young have beautiful skin. The listing says 'intense hydration', 'replenishes moisture level', plumps and volumizes'. It does not do any of those things. The current price is ridiculous for this product. Calling something 'Korean' is no use if it does not deliver and this definitely does not.

This is a really high price point for a product that didn’t perform the way my $10 hyaluronic products do. I like to use these for an extra level of forming/plumping or for my high frequency wand to easily glide across my skin. This product didn’t seem to do much moisturizing or plumping and it was 4x the price of my favorite hyaluronic. The texture and scent put me off a little, too.

This is a really nice serum. I have tried a lot of different brands over the past 6 months, and I feel confident saying that this is pretty much similar to the others I have tired. The scent its the only thing that stands out as different to me. I don't have any big problem areas on my skin, fine wrinkles, or allergies to anything that is in any beauty products. So I can't say if there is something in this one that is better or worse for those who do have those challenges. This is the first one I have tried that also targets fine lines and wrinkles. I am assuming that to be the reason for the big price jump compared to the others.

テクスチャ自体はトロッとしていて「ベタつきそうだなぁ、冬に良いかな」なんて最初は思いましたが、肌に馴染ませてみると思いのほかサラッとして使用感は良かったです。 香りはさっぱりとした杉やティーツリーなどを思わせるウッディな香り。個人的には好きな香りです。 ヒアルロン酸セラムとあるのでもっちりとかしっとりといった使用感を想定していましたが違いました。 そういった使用感を求めている方は他の製品の方が良いと思います。 あと、取り立ててこの製品らしい素晴らしい特徴みたいなものはありません。 香りは良いですが、それだけです。そういうものを求めるのならおすすめですが、保湿力や使用感の良さはプチプラと大差ない印象です。 この価格を出すならヒアルロン酸原液でも買ってプチプラ化粧水や乳液にちょっと足して使った方が良いかもしれないです。

韓国の美容液で残念ながら商品には成分についての詳しい説明は付いていなかったのですが（ボトルに日本語の成分表は貼り付けてあります）、それぞれの成分を調べてみると保湿力のあるヒアルロン酸と、皮膚のタンパク質の補給を助けダメージを修復し肌の水分の蒸発を防いでくれるマルチペプチド、肌の深層まで吸収されて毛穴の汚れを取り除くことができるBHAにコラーゲンも入っている、更年期に入った年齢の私にとっては期待しないで入られない有り難い美容液のようです。 ボトルの蓋をあけると結構強めのティーツリー系のハーブの香りがします（実際何の成分の香りかはわかりません）。 テクスチャーはとろみがありつけた直後は艷やかで一瞬オイルかと錯覚しますが肌なじみが良く肌表面がとてもしっとりしました。 朝晩の間は潤いはキープされたままで乾燥小じわが目立たなくなったように感じられました。 マルチペプチドはそれぞれのペプチドがダメージの修復やハリを与えてくれるなど別々の働きをしてくれるそうなので、しばらく使い続けることで効果を期待したいと思います。
