Great for Beginners
I just used this for the first time yesterday and I LOVE it. I got the GiGi 14 oz Hard Wax and was considering getting that wax warmer, but I was swayed by the price of this and am so happy I saved money by buying this one instead. It was my very first time ever waxing my legs, let alone the first time ever using it at home. This product is so easy and simple, I knew what I was doing right away. Pros: - Great product for a great price, it's sturdy and everything is securely in place as it should be. You don't need to worry about anything falling a part but I don't recommend dropping anyways. - The handled container is a great feature. You can easily lift up and move your wax if you need to, if you'd rather take it out and pour it, etc. - The red light and clicking noise. Luckily I read the reviews and expected the red light to shut off. I LOVE this because the machine is protecting itself. You don't want this to overheat and become useless, so be patient when you see the light go off. The click is especially helpful as you can listen for when it's coming on or turning off. Don't worry, it's still hot enough that the wax will continue to melt. - The adjustable temp. Keeps the wax at a good consistency. - The lid. It helps keep the heat on the wax, and keeps dust or hair from falling into the pot. No one wants to find cat hair in their wax. - Cleans up really easy. As I said I am a totally first time beginner at waxing, so I did make a mess. I waited for the wax to harden and it came right off of the machine really easily. It didn't pull any of the paint or metal off with it the wax all but fell off. Including the metal container, really easy clean up. - Cord is a good length. Not too long, not too short. Cons: - I think having a cardboard circle to help keep the wax contained when using it would have been nice, but since clean up is so easy this is pretty much a moot point! I'm expecting this machine to last me a good few years and I look forward to it.

Great product so far
Great advantage -- This has several temp settings. I only use the high setting to melt the wax. Stir it away from the sides gently as it melts. Then turn it down to the medium setting. Let it set for several minutes to cool off a bit so you don't burn your skin. Always test somewhere first. Please be aware... melted wax at the high setting is more than likely going to burn you unless you have the toughest, thickest skin around. This seems to be a well made melting pot. I have only had it a week, but it has definitely been used! The lid is nice to keep the wax covered between uses. The heavy duty cord is long enough to reach most outlets without being in the way. The pot itself is small enough to handle easily and store out of the way. It might even fit into a deep drawer. I just leave mine out because there is no one here (like young children) I need to keep it away from.Wax warms up and melts fairly quickly so it's ready to go when you need it. I will be using this pot a lot so I will come back and amend this review if it fails to work as long as I think it should. For now, it more than meets my needs. I LOVE waxing, lasts so much longer than shaving and smells lots better than any depilatory ever could. Plus hair grows back in smooth, not sharp. Over time, when pull roots out enough times, hair just doesn't grow back, or comes back very fine. At least that is what I have found to be true with myself.

Bee keepers: Great for Pre-waxing bee frames!
If you are a beekeeper and you are looking for something to melt bees wax and pre-wax or supplement wax your new bee frames, this product is PERFECT for that. The high end of the dial is exactly just 1-2 degrees above the melting point of bees wax, and it hits that melting point in about 15 minutes. FAST! The instructions advise lowering the dial once you reach the melt point, but don't do that. I needs to stay hot, and since you'll probably have the cover off anyway, lowering the dial just makes the wax start hardening up again. I used with 1-oz bees wax blocks, one at a time, which ended up perfect for one deep frame each (both sides). Subsequent sticks melted in less than 5 minutes. Make sure you order COLLARS to go with this. They are nothing more than cardboard rings. I did not have them, so I made one from scratch using an old piece of cardboard from a paper pad. (Use the insert to measure the inner diameter opening, leave about 1-1/2" around it, then cut the outer ring after.) It really DOES need the collar. The insert/container sits about 1/4" higher and expects it. And it keeps things clean. Clean-up is EASY. No need for anything fancy. With the unit off/unplugged, pour out any leftover wax (I had none), then let it cool for a few seconds only, then use 2 paper towels, one to hold it if it's too hot for you, the other to wipe the insides. Use another paper towel (or switch them) to get the final sweep. After that, simple soap and water and a sponge worked perfectly. Sparkling clean. Size is perfect. Only about 9" diameter. Plug is REALLY short (like 12"), so you'll need an extension cord. Took less than 30 minutes to pre-wax my bee frames. Highly recommended!

Nice Removable Wax Pot but Thermostat is Not Right
So far it seems pretty good. I think the thermostat control knob runs the temp much lower than they intended it to be. I have to turn it up much higher than the instructions suggested to keep it warm enough to use. As long as it still works I'm okay with it. Other than that it seems to keep a steady temp. I think it is well enough made that it might last a while, one can hope at least. I really like the removable metal wax pot for use with loose wax. I've been using Wax Necessities Film Hard Wax Beads - Natural 35.27 oz (1000g) in it. I really like the beads because they are so easy to just grab a tad bit more if you need it. It's also great because it has no perfume or coloring, has good adhesion to the hair and sets up fairly quickly, which saves time. It's so nice that this wax heater comes with the removable wax pot so you can choose your wax in larger quantities and save money.

Works well, easy to use
I got this cause a while back I shaved my peach fuzz and it was starting to grow back looking like a mustache, and recently it'd been sprouting back a mix of randomly dark curls and light little pokey things. It really just got to the point where every other day I felt like Fiona in the beginning of Shrek 2 and like that's fine, she's one of the best role models in cinema, it's just a lot of upkeep. As a working college student, I have enough to keep up with already! My mustache had been resembling that of a pubescent boy, and I had had it. There may be some regrets that just can't be fixed in this lifetime, but this...this I could fix. I recalled a BuzzFeed article by their beauty editor about her experience testing out these "painless" waxing beads (the beads' brand is HeaLif, I had to go over some areas more than once but it just feels like ripping off a band-aid and any red marks disappeared pretty quickly. Would recommend). The article lead me here. The beads were purple and I was feeling feminine and spontaneous so I bought this wax warmer in pink. I'd never waxed before, but this heater worked well, the process was simple (you just plug it in and melt the wax on high, and then I set it to medium before applying) and I didn't burn myself! It looks like it will be easy to clean, and I made a real mess (from no fault of this thing) so that's nice. I have only used it once but I must say I am satisfied with this product and I am really looking forward to not gazing in the mirror and thinking, "Who is that pubescent boy's missed patch I see staring back at me?", a lifetime of happiness, and times when my reflection will show who I am, inside.

Good warmer. Works as stated.
Purchased this warmer (first one) along with hard wax to wax my face. This worked as stated, but seemed very slow (?). It does take a long time to melt a NEW container of Wax on HIGH, as instructed. I was very wary of this burner in my bathroom and kept checking on the wax, it took more than 45 mins to melt the new cake of wax. I started using the wax before it was completely melted. It will probably take less time as the wax is used up. I also purchased the wax collars as other reviewers have suggested. I would recommend the collars also, because the dripping wax is messy, drips everywhere (I'm not proficient at stopping the drips.) I purchased a cheap plastic tablecloth from Amazon (and cut it up) to place it under the warmer over my counters and will use it every time I use this warmer. If you're waxing your legs, you may want to use this as a drop cloth over your floors too. Just fold up the plastic and reuse next time. I can't compare this to another one, because this is my first, so 5 stars! Wax collars fit perfectly.

Cutting corners
The quality in this went completely down hill I had bought this product a few years ago and again 2025. The wax heating container used to be metal and the machine had a weight to it. Now its light as a feather and has a fake metal container. It still heats up my wax but it takes a bit longer. They had corners when this product became popular

Excellent Product!
I bought this to heat coconut oil which I use as a moisturizer. This little appliance seems well built. It has a variable thermostat which keeps the oil temperature well within the skin comfort zone or much hotter if that's your wish. There's a handy LED light that turns red when its heating and green when it reaches the temperature the dial is set at. There's no provision to set it at a known temperature. However, after playing with the dial for a few minutes, I got the dial position set to where the oil temperature was just right for me. So, that's not an issue for me. The removable tub is approximately 4" W X 2 3/4 H" inside measurements, and the domed lid adds at least 1" to that. Small jars will fit easily within this space. It's value priced. Highly recommend!
