I dehydrate my own apples, but I'm always up for trying new things, and I've never had dried apples that weren't sliced. These apples are only halved, and they are very soft and spongy, not chewy or crunchy like most dried apples I've had (or made). It is different for sure, but I'm not hating them, and worst case scenario I'll incorporate them into other foods. I would say the closest comparison to the texture would be baked apples, but peeled, cold, and with a disappointing absence of butter, sugar, and cinnamon lol. I have had several at this point with no problems, and my dog approves of them as well. I appreciate that there are several smaller packages that are vacuum sealed so that I can take my time with them. I don't know if it's necessary, but I'm storing the opened package in the fridge.
