Lost all files. Bad hardware. DO NOT BUY.
I ordered this laptop four times. Each time I was given a tracking number, which is supposed to indicate the item is getting prepped to ship, at the very least. The first three times, the seller canceled the order. I figured the fourth was going to do the same thing, but miraculously, it arrived. The laptop worked for 2 weeks. I had to take it to a technician to diagnose. The hard drive died. Very infuriating. Not only did it take several weeks to even RECEIVE the item, it was defective, and I lost several sensitive documents and countless photos that are now unrecoverable. I do NOT recommend anyone risk buying and using this item if you have files you don’t want to lose permanently.

Things to consider before purchasing...
I've had this now a full month and have used it every day. I use my laptop a lot. I research and write novels and on some occassions, I play sims 4 on it. I am not a big gamer and when I play its mostly stress relieving by building homes and decorating them so this laptop isn't being worked into the ground, just thoroughly used. The few things I've noticed... 1. The touchpad is an issue. The cursor works very well, but right click is tricky, scrolling up or down is very very faulty, and left click is temperamental. I've looked into the settings as well as verified the correct drivers are installed so I can't find a way to solve this and its kinda a big deal for how I use this laptop. But since I don't have many other or better options in this price range, I really can't do anything other than keep trying to work with it. 2. I checked into whether this laptop could handle how I game and the volume I game at to ensure it could last and that I wasn't pushing it too hard before I even purchased it, I play maybe a few hours a month so I really don't game a ton. but this laptop when in gaming mode becomes a burn hazard. Beware of this! The bottom heats up in just 5 mins of playtime to a degree where you need a pad to protect your skin and a fan to protect the laptop from melting itself. (From experience if a laptop overheats like this for too long things like melting a key can happen, Last laptop of mine had part of the 'O' key melt and I could not type any words with that letter... I'm a novelist, thats not good) But with the bad is also the good... 1. The battery is nice, I can unplug and work for up to 2hrs before needing to plug back in. Honestly, that's not as common in laptops as I wish it were. 2. Its fast, even though the issues slow things down, pages load fast and smoothly. I wish the touchpad worked correctly and the heating issue was not a thing, otherwise this would be at 5 stars. The disappointment runs deep because this price range is often where quality starts to slip. Unfortunately, that's the reality many people face when they need a computer for school, work, or everyday life and don't have the budget for premium options. No one should have to accept unreliable performance simply because affordability is a necessity.

Great value for a solid laptop
I use this laptop as my primary work machine. For this, it's very good. My use-case is unusual, though. I have the machine dual-booting Ubuntu 24.04, and I very, very rarely use Windows 10. I run MS-office apps on Ubuntu through the Wine emulator (a few times a week), and that's just fine for my purposes. If I were a heavy Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint user, I probably would not be happy with this setup, and I'd be using the machine with just Windows 10 as it was delivered. However for Python development, web app development, general browsing and the like, this machine with the Ubuntu dual-boot is very nice! The machine does not come with any distribution media. Just the laptop and a USB-C power adapter. Windows 10 is on the drive, but that's all you get. Up to you to make rescue and restore media. I didn't test disk performance under Windows. Pro: I like the keyboard. Lenovo's Fn/Ctrl layout is backwards from every other keyboard I use, but it the BIOS has a setting to flip those keys so they match a more typical layout. The keyboard has a very nice feel. The touchpad also works very well, and the fingerprint reader is reliable. The camera and microphone also work very well. Leading Zoom meetings and screen sharing for remote work with this machine is a breeze. CPU speed is everything I expect from a Ryzen 5. Lenovo has good support for Ubuntu, and the 24.04 desktop edition installed out of the box to full-function dual boot with no problems. I added zfs with encryption for my user data, and this doesn't noticeably slow anything down. Apart from the smartcard reader and the SD/MMC drive, all the hardware is fully compatible. WiFi, Bluetooth performance are very good. Output to a big HDMI monitor also looks great. Con: Compared with my old Chromebook, the battery life is fair. I can get about 2 hours of work done with it before I need to recharge. The "smartcard" reader doesn't work at all with Linux, but it's not a feature I need. The MMC/SD card reader is unreliable. It's OK for copying things to/from other devices, but too unstable to use as an auxiliary drive (otherwise, it would be great to drop a 1TB card in it). There's only one NVME slot, so you'll have to mirror onto a bigger drive if 512GB isn't enough for your purposes.
