Not as easy and washing off a knife, but cutting ten pounds of meat with a knife is nowhere close to as fast, easy, accurate or efficient as using this slicer. To clean you unscrew one knob to release the blade guard, and then three easy to undo phillips screws to remove the blade. We use windex and water to wash and clean the slicer each time we use it.
