I return them for the size L and they are more supportive and help with smoothing. I can report that my jean are a bit looser when I wear one, but it is not an overwhelming, "wow" sucking in situation. I would prefer more compression around my middle, but they are very soft and comfortable so I decided to keep them. The longer length is awesome since it doesn't roll up or come un-tucked. As I continue to lose weight I look forward to going down another size to see if I can get a bit more "snatch."
