Bosch Professional Forstner Drill Bit (for Wood, Ø 10 mm, length 90 mm, drill accessories)

I used the Bosch Professional 45 mm Forstner drill bit for a woodworking project and was really impressed. It cut clean, precise holes with minimal tear-out, even in hardwood. The build quality feels very solid and durable, and it stayed sharp throughout multiple holes. It’s a bit of an investment but totally worth it for professional-level results and smooth performance.

These are one of the best forstner bit sets on the marks, fast and extremely clean cuts, will definitely buy these again when needed, I'm praying I never hit a pin or screw because they're so lovely to use.

Purchased this drill bit, as had to drill the correct hole size into 12 x new pieces of wood, in order to attach 12 new sofa feet.Would of been way too easy to have unhooked the corner sofa into 2 pieces to move it....no just drag it around and shear 2 x wooden legs clean off it....Had to replace all 12 legs(pouffe took 4) as couldnt find the exact same legs, and because I had to add 2 x 1 inch squares of wood for the 2 sheared off legs....I then had to do all of them, so that the sofa would be level.This drill bit is fantastic to work with, it was precisely the size I needed to fit the round leg screwin piece of metal.Solid and great quality.Comes in its own plastic dome case.Well worth the money.

Really good quality forstner bits. I have had a few cheap and nasty forstner bits so thought I would treat myself to some slightly better ones. These are wavy toothed which is halfway between the uber aggressive saw tooth ones and the virtually useless flat bottomed ones. Nice smooth cutting action on MDF, ply and pine. Small thing but the box is decent quality too, often made of what appears to be balsa wood, hinges hanging off etc but this is a nice box with good latch.

Makes short work of birch plywood which is 50% more dense than oak and full of phenolic resin so definitely passed the sharpness test.The central spur is a tad too long for my taste and can cause problems with bursting through 18mm stock with certain types of concealed hinges e.g. the particular type of Blum hinges I was using.I had to set depth on my high end drill guide to within 1mm of accuracy and 16mm doors may well be destroyed whatever brand of hinges you use so ALWAYS do some tests on a piece of scrap before taking the plunge and use a reliable depth stop!The 3 flats on the shank weren't machined properly and are literally less than 3mm wide on a 1/2" shank i.e. barely scratch the surface (useless) but overall,with care it still cuts beautifully and slightly cheaper than Fisch.It comes in a really robust storage case so great for site use.Compared to cheap Forstners its a dream and boring for hinges has gone from being a chore to a pleasure.Overall,its a 'keeper' !

Super sharp ,like a hot knife through butter in seasoned timber. I think the size is intended for cutting recesses for cupboard hinges , but I needed it for recesses for bolt heads on timber framing, and it did the job I would say almost too efficiently ,as it cut so quickly I only blinked and it was at a depth of half an inch, outstanding.

Très bonnes mèches. Bon affûtage. Utilisées avec une perceuse à colonne, ça rentre comme dans du beurre. Les copeaux s'évacuent avec un peu de difficulté dans les grandes profondeurs, mais ça reste d'un bon rapport qualité prix.

Quality drill bit. Used to drill a hole in urethane to attach to wooden dowel, interference fit. Worked perfectly.
