Review: Brilliant! Can’t fault it - Works exactly as it should. I have a M2 MacBook Air which natively only supports one external monitor however this device allows me to plug in a further external monitor giving me three screens in total which is exactly what I was looking for. I have tried many other ways using various devices but this is the only one which has worked for the M2 MacBook. Simple to install the required Driver then plug the device into the laptop and then the monitors. Highly recommended.

This DisplayLink based unit works flawlessly, even via a USB3 hub. If I watch 1080p 60Hz video full screen on it, it consumes about 4% CPU - not bad at all. It does run hot (the manufacturer states that the cooling design means that this is a feature as it tightly couples the heat-generating chipset to the aluminum case - which is believable). I have attached one 60mm x 60mm heatsink to each side and used those as stands to orient it vertically and now in runs cool to the touch, even under heavy load. Not strictly necessary, but every 10C reduction approximately doubles the life expectancy....

Works exactly as it should. I have a M2 MacBook Air which natively only supports one external monitor however this device allows me to plug in a further external monitor giving me three screens in total which is exactly what I was looking for. I have tried many other ways using various devices but this is the only one which has worked for the M2 MacBook. Simple to install the required Driver then plug the device into the laptop and then the monitors. Highly recommended.

I tried a cheap MST adaptor that claimed 2 x 4K @ 60Hz but couldn't make it work with my Geekom GT2 Mega. This DisplayLink based unit works flawlessly, even via a USB3 hub. If I watch 1080p 60Hz video full screen on it, it consumes about 4% CPU - not bad at all. It does run hot (the manufacturer states that the cooling design means that this is a feature as it tightly couples the heat-generating chipset to the aluminum case - which is believable). I have attached one 60mm x 60mm heatsink to each side and used those as stands to orient it vertically and now in runs cool to the touch, even under heavy load. Not strictly necessary, but every 10C reduction approximately doubles the life expectancy....

Purchased for MacBook Pro M5 and instructions very clear. Easy to download DisplayLink installation for macOS 26 Tahoe. Paper instructions and QR provided. Extendable or mirror displays. No issues setting up - as you can see from the picture all 3 x screens are extended. After installation I shut down and opened MacBook and gave permissions to DisplayLink. Highly recommend. Quick delivery (next day AM).
