I have asked around with the people sat immediately next to me and they have both let me know they can't hear a thing (they would be honest believe me). I can happily sit here blasting myself with lovely cold air whilst the room gets more and more stuffy as the day goes on, that's why it also works well as an afternoon pick me up. I don't use the clip but it is seriously sturdy and can maneuver within a great range of motion. Only thing that I can see which leaves anything to be desired is the battery life with you really have to keep fully charged at all times to get more than a few hours out of it. When the USB is plugged in the power of the fan is noticeably higher (understandably).
