I ordered this paint set for my wife who wanted to branch out from general colouring to a more freestyle painting on watercolour paper. After some time experimenting with standard watercolour paints, the transition to try Gouache paints was very easy. They are similar to watercolour, but have greater opacity and workability. So much better than watercolour with brighter, more defined colours. This paint set doesn't disappoint, the large selection of 112 colours and the mixability of these pretty much offers every conceivable colour you would want. The paint is easy to apply, dries fast and can be easily re-activated. For the price it is a very worthwhile purchase. For me, it's the variety of colours that add to the value, so many kits have only 12 or 24 colours, this one has 112. An excellent paint kit, thoroughly recommended!

This 112 colour gouache set is very good. Far bigger range of colours than many other sets available. OK, it's not cheap, but you do tend to get what you pay for. We have a budding artist in the family who is over the moon with this set.

I’ve been an artist of many years and I own many expensive art supplies, but because of the high prices combined with a fear of failure, my art has become constrained and overly detailed. It’s not bad art but it just frustrates me so much not to be able to discover my true self through art and be loose and free when I paint. Then I thought, maybe it might help to get this much more affordable paint and with lots of colors so I can just run with it, paint faster and enjoy the actual process so much more. Well, it’s only been one day so far, but because I save time not having to mix up colors, I am actually having much more fun and I can paint in a more continual fashion. The result is that my art from today looks better and more spontaneous than my work from before. I can actually see a difference! Regarding the quality of this paint, to be truthful, my expectations were pretty low being used to the higher end paints. But guess what! This paint has surprised me so much! The quality is wonderful. It’s creamy and it covers so much better than I thought it would. This is the perfect paint for practicing your art skills and getting your ideas out faster. Plus you don’t need expensive paper for this. Any thick paper will work, especially watercolor paper but the paper in your sketchbook will work just fine, as well. This gouache paint makes painting fun. The large selection of colors is definitely worth buying. Believe me, you will not regret having 112 colors to choose from and the colors offered are absolutely beautiful.
