Awesome!
Great Toy! Brings back memories. A little smaller than the Original, But still worth it!

Nostalgia bomb
I often see complaints about the size of this toy, but honestly, it’s not significantly smaller than the original. Yes, you could shell out big bucks for a vintage model, but this new, complete version offers incredible value at a fraction of the price. While the assembly comes with over 50 stickers—something I wasn't too thrilled about—it wasn’t difficult to put together. Even if you don’t own any Ninja Turtles figures, this toy still delivers countless hours of imaginative play. You can easily incorporate Star Wars figures to create an epic imperial or separatist droid superweapon, or transform it into an alien command ship. It also makes for an exciting fortress where toy soldiers or cars can engage in thrilling battles or daring escapes. This toy sparks creativity and imagination, and while it's not as robust as the original, its lighter weight makes it easier to carry around for playtime. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Cool, stickers are kinda a pain, but it is good and sturdy for play, may take a while to assemble

An Ooze Scanner! A Brain Scrambler!
Owned the original many years ago, this is the exact same thing. There are a lot of stickers, many of these 90s playsets (especially the TMNT playsets and the Jurassic Park playset) came with sticker packets that provided colorful details. In the case of the technodrome, there are a bunch of small stickers that go on tiny square patches on the outside of the technodrome plus along the base. Its a minor annoyance. Another couple gripes is that the technodrome will not shut with the "brain scrambler" (turtle torture spinner) or the command center perch in place. Those two accessories will have to be removed and stowed. Other than those minor complaints, this is a pretty gnarly playset. It looks fantastic, and has some really neat stuff on the inside, like the Turtle jail cell, the weapons storage area, the "ooze scanner" retro-mutagen device. When this toy was new, kids could also purchase cannister of the ooze which was you're basic fake toy slime, and you would strap a turtle into the ooze scanner and dump the ooze on them. While this sounded fun in theory, doing so was a bad idea because the ooze was difficult to clean up and would damage the stickers, and leave weird sticky flakes that were near impossible to eradicate. The Real Ghostbusters Firehouse HQ had a similar gimmick where you could pour the Ectoplasm through a grate in the roof to "slime" the GhostBusters. The ooze hasn't been in production for years, and that is for the best since few would be willing to risk getting this fine toy filthy. There's a lot to love here, nostalgiacs are going to want this one.

Nostalgia Machine
The nostalgia is strong! Lots of negativity around the shrinkage of the reissue compared to the original, yes it’s smaller, no it won’t fit vintage figures the same way. Is that really a big deal? We’re all adults now and I’m under no false impressions that this will do anything but be displayed in my office and it’s great for that. I’m not playing with it like I did the original 25 years ago. And honestly it fits the 3.75 tmnt figures from super7 quite nicely if you really must display it “in action” Other than the size they really nailed this, details are on point and how I remember them, the plastics are a little softer, and it’s not the most stable thing, but let’s be honest, neither was the original. A second plus for the size reduction, is if you’re working to track down parts for your original, you won’t have to worry about a dishonest reseller trying to sell pieces of the reissue as “original” they simply are not compatible with the original, and I think that’s a good thing as far as preserving the value for collectors. taking 1 star off simply because the decals are extremely unforgiving and kind of inconsistent. Most stuck instantly and HARD, so have a steady hand, there’s no repositioning these if you’re a little crooked. Others that are required to wrap around surfaces/corners, seem to want to lift and it took some extra effort to get them to stay.

A must-have collectible for TMNT fans
I ordered three of these because they were priced really well at the time, and as a long-time TMNT fan I couldn’t pass them up. The design is packed with nostalgic details and really captures the classic TMNT cartoon aesthetic. It looks great on display and feels like a fun throwback piece for fans who grew up with the original series. The colours are bright, the sculpted details are well done, and there’s plenty to appreciate if you enjoy collecting TMNT memorabilia. I bought multiple because I wanted extras for display and I don’t regret it. If you’re a long-time TMNT collector or just love retro Turtle merchandise, this is definitely worth picking up—especially if you find it at a good price.

Just get one, you know you want it.
Maybe not as big as the 90s OG, just slightly smaller. Still worth getting. Do recommend for collectors to have it shipped in box or Amazon will stick a shipping sticker on the box, happened to a friend.

Iconic playset, but effectively unusable as a toy due to missing ecosystem
I bought the TMNT Classic Technodrome as a Christmas gift for my son, assuming that—since this is a current-production playset—there would be compatible figures and accessories available to use with it. Unfortunately, that is not the case, and it fundamentally breaks the product as a toy. The Technodrome is designed around specific interactions (most notably Krang mounting on an internal post, villain control areas, weapon storage, etc.). However, there is currently no Playmates Krang or villain figure in production that fits or works with these features. The only figures that actually interact with the playset correctly are older Playmates figures that are no longer manufactured and can only be found used or at inflated secondary-market prices. This is not made clear in the product description or on the box. You only discover it after opening the set and reading the instructions, which reference parts and figures that are explicitly “not included” and, worse, not available for purchase new anywhere. To be clear: This is not a case of “figures sold separately.” This is a case of no compatible figures being sold at all. As a result, the Technodrome ends up being a large plastic shell with dead features. For a child—especially one who does not already own vintage TMNT toys—there is very little that can actually be done with it as intended. It’s the equivalent of selling a Barbie Dreamhouse while no Barbies are available in stores. The playset itself is well-made and nostalgic, which is why I’m not giving it one star. But as a functional, playable toy for kids, it is incomplete and poorly supported. This should either be clearly disclosed or released alongside the figures required to use it. Recommended only for collectors who already own vintage Playmates figures. Not recommended as a standalone playset for children.
