The noise that you will hear is coming from the DEP-1. The Donner DEP-1 88 Key digital keyboard has good key sensitivity, some decent sounds and the 88 keys may bey just what some people are looking for. The keys are "Synth Weighted" which means springy and responsive but without the hefty feel of real piano keys. The DEP-1 has a USB port so you can connect to your computer for working with your DAW/Sequencer software. Over all I liked the DEP-1 but there is constant system buzz and noise that is heard constantly whether you use the built-in speakers or plug into a sound system. The noise is bad and ruins the usefulness of this keyboard. The noise comes through the speakers with the volume turned down to zero and even when using the USB port to trigger sound from DAW/sequencing software. The noise that you will hear is coming from the DEP-1. The Donner DEP-1 88 Key digital keyboard has good key sensitivity, some decent sounds and the 88 keys may bey just what some people are looking for. The keys are "Synth Weighted" which means springy and responsive but without the hefty feel of real piano keys. The DEP-1 has a USB port so you can connect to your computer for working with your DAW/Sequencer software. Over all I liked the DEP-1 but there is constant system buzz and noise that is heard constantly whether you use the built-in speakers or plug into a sound system. The noise is bad and ruins the usefulness of this keyboard. The noise comes through the speakers with the volume turned down to zero and even when using the USB port to trigger sound from DAW/sequencing software. I hate to do it but the Donner DEP-1 gets a 1 out of 5. ### โญโญโญโญโญ 6 am Jam session *by R***R on December 19, 2025* Well, I found out just how good the sound was on this key board at the butt crack of dawn one morning when my kids had a full blown monster mash on this thing. It was easy to put together and plug in. Thank goodness it was not as expensive as other keyboards but still has a great sound quality. We used it for lessons, but now that my son has been waitlisted, he still loves to use it. It takes up hardly any space and it comes with a nice case, so you can put it away if you are not using it.
