It really gives a lot of support to the ankle and arch of the foot. The insoles are a memory foam and very comfortable. The toes are reinforced and feel steel toed, but I cannot find information on how it's reinforced. The soles are thick rubber and have good traction. There is no stray spots of glue from attaching the sole. All stitching is well done and secure. The upper is both leather and nylon fabric. The nylon allows for a good amount of air flow to prevent sweating and overheating. The zipper moves smoothly but be sure to lace them how you like them while on your foot with the zipper up so that when you zip on and off you don't have to mess with the laces.
