Can this go in a spray gun

Yes. I just sprayed some trellis and it was fine.

Can this be applied on tanalised wood?

Hi I used it on some gates and fences and part of the wood on fence was tanalised it did take to it but not quite as good as the other wood areas. Saying that though it did still cover it ok. One some areas you might need two coats if you want a darker look when you apply it it might look more like a darker grey dependant on wood too. Must admit though it does look good when all done.

Is it black or dark brown

Tudor Black Oak is black in colour. However, it does not cover up previously painted rough timber very well. If you are applying it to new unpainted timber it will cover as long as the wood is completely dried out. If you are trying to cover a previous colour, particularly red or green then 3 coats later and you'll still see the original colour coming through. Advice would be to use the more expensive Ducksback as this gave me a really black finish. I would also advise you to ensure the lid is firmly on, turn the tub upside down and give it a really good shake to ensure the pigment is well mixed through then stir it occasionally as you work. Stirring alone may not mix the pigment. Hope this helps?
