This book is such a gem. I picked it up hoping to add a little more Islamic learning into our nightly reading routine, and Saleem the Cat totally delivered. The rhymes are fun and easy to follow, and the message about gratitude—saying “Alhamdulillah” for all the little blessings—is beautifully woven into the story. My kids loves the illustrations (Saleem is adorable), and has started saying “Alhamdulillah” more often, which honestly warms my heart. It’s not preachy, just gentle and relatable. What a great book!
This is my 4 month old’s favorite book! He lights up as soon as he sees it. He loves looking at the pictures and hearing the rhythms. It’s beautifully written and illustrated. It has a lovely message which is simple enough of younger kids to understand and learn from.
