Absolutely gorgeous illustrations with descriptions that are the perfect bite-sized length. Bought this as a gift for an avid bird watcher who already has all the “practical” birding related books (identification guides, birdwatching journals, geographic region-specific birdwatching guides, etc).

Beautiful book with lovely illustrations

This book is gorgeously illustrated and is full of history and symbolism I didn't know about the bird species shown. I'd love to see a sequel with more species in the future. Very well researched and an interested read, even if you aren't a bird enthusiast. I got it during a deal Amazon was running, so the price was also excellent! Honestly felt very moved to use the pictures and background info as inspiration for a future tattoo!
