PORTAVO Dog Heel Training Figure Eight Slip Lead Stops Pulling Halti Type Head Harness.

Ok I have been training my dog a Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix for 7 Months now, he will walk to heel when he is not excited about going out and getting to where he wants to go with a flat collar and normal lead, but the thought of getting there drives him on.I have tried various products to help with this (Halti, Canny collar, and even a figure of eight lead although it was a flat nylon one). None of these worked, non pull harnesses give him more power to drag me around.This lead arrived yesterday well earlier than stated, I have to say when I opened it and looked and felt the lead I though oh no! I have done it again.The lead feels thin compared to my other leads, so well I thought might as well try it as I have bought it. I was amazed at how he took to it, hardly any clawing to get it off and no pulling whatsoever as we approached the beach where normally he gets his head down and charges forward he stayed at heel and just whined a little to say I was amazed would be an understatement.having used it for only two days with no change in results I can safely say I am very happy with this purchase as my dog is very headstrong when it comes to pulling and wanting to play with every dog he sees. This lead seems to calm him down somehow, how I don't know and really don't care it just works, for my dog anyway.

Really speedy delivery! Received an email too, with directions on how to use.I have used a halti harnes on our strong lab in the past but found it fiddly (and expensive in comparison!) I also didn't like that while off the lead he was running around with the harness on his head (or I went though the haste of taking it off and putting it on again! Not very practical when meeting other dogs and needing the job done quick!) but this lead is brilliant! Does exactly the same as the halti, far less hastle, far less cost, no 'device' to hinder him when off the lead and as it can be used as a simple slip lead, great for our other (well behaved) lab! One size pretty much fits all I imagine, another bonus! Can't imagine these will need replacing often as strong, but should I loose or break one I will definitely buy from this seller again! Highly recommend, but bear in mind, if your dog has never had a halti or similar on their head before you may need to do a little bit of patient training (but this is explained in the email)

Thought this was a great way to stop my lab from pulling but..... after 3-4 uses, I've discovered sores across the top of her snout..... can't use this again!

Works well and my two stringer puppies responded well, smaller one does not like the feeling and continually pulls it off

Good length, nice lead and arrived quickly, but I didn't like the way it marked the top of my dogs nose as the others I have used haven't so gone back to my old one.

Great leads that I have been using for years.My dogs only have a 3 minute walk before they run freely.They love their walks and they behave perfectly with these leads.Easy to put on and give excellent control

I suppose you get what you pay for. This is really just a very thin slip lead which you make the head loop large and twist into a figure of 8. I've had thicker washing line rope!

This is an absolute miracle. I have a 7 month old lab/springer pup who pulls and is very strong. This instantly stopped her, without any effort on my part. Its not cruel it just sits gently across her neck and muzzle. Its also helped to stop her jumping up everyone we meet on walks. Wish id bought one sooner. Very Highly recommended.Very well made and I'm pleased I opted for the rope and not the thinner material ones.
