J Mac Botanicals Organic Elderflower, Herbal Tea - 16 ounces

This elderflower is really high quality, no big stems, negligible amount of fine stems. Lovely flavor and color. Will get me through the winter after my harvest is gone.

I really like the flavor of this tea. I purchased this because my favorite health food store didn't have what I normally use for my cough. This worked well. The only problem is the tea is so fine I'll need to get a better strainer as mine left a lot of loose tea floating.

Very refreshing to see a product that is actually organic. Unlike too many other products I have purchased online that claim to be organic, this one is legitimate, with the USDA seal and certification information on the back. The material in the bag is a small size, not the normal tea leaf size I'm used to, but that is because elderberry flowers are so very, very tiny. I stirred the product around and saw no stems or anything like that included with the flowers. The aroma reminds me of fennel or licorice. That's also the closest thing I can think of to describe the taste. While I am not usually a big fan of licorice, I enjoy this tea. It has a light flavor when brewed as a tea. Product of Albania, packaged in Washington state.

These are so easy to use, Edlerflower has a pleasant taste and it makes a lovely herbal tea (tisane) on its own. Just be careful not to use 212 water, you need to steep this at a lower temperature (like green, white, and jasmine teas) to avoid a bitter taste. This is really nice on its own or you can add citrus and lemon for a chilled tea over the summer months. Really lovely taste. Since this is dried you can also consider using this in baking! Edlerflower blends nicely with a number of baked goods recipes. This is a good amount and decent quality dried elderflower if you don't have access to fresh edlerflower!

The packaging shows freeze dried flowers (whole) but what I got was a bag of coarse sand-like powder. It does not mix well, firms up like cement in honey (my plan was to use to infuse honey) and is not what I wanted. I feel this packaging did not represent the actual product and am beyond disappointed.
