This is the best primer I’ve ever used for a really great price. It’s very hydrating and keeps that makeup in place. Purchasing my second one now. It lasted me 3 months. I only wear makeup once a week.

This is a great product and I highly recommend it. However, I am unsure as to why mine was sent without it's cap.. My skin doesn't break out with this formula and my makeup stays put very nicely throughout the day. The gel is nice and light and has a nice feeling on the skin. Very refreshing to use. I feel like this product will work nicely over this summer!

I purchased this primer back in April, and finished it somewhat recently. This is my honest review on it! I’m someone who tends to get pretty oily/sweaty quickly, especially during the warmer months. I like to find a primer that sticks all my makeup to my face, without it separating or looking cakey by the end of the day. I can’t complain about the affordability of this primer, but I found that it wasn’t anything to be desired. I noticed that it had a stronger alcohol scent that gave me the ick towards the end of the bottle, which caused me to avoid using it. The longevity of my makeup when using the primer was meh.. it’s definitely not great, but definitely better than no primer. I also noticed that it really isn’t “sticky” it has a very thin viscosity, which in my experience causes it to be slightly tacky than sticky compared to similar primers. Due to the lack of grip, I noticed my makeup looking pretty gnarly by the end of the day, even when my skin wasn’t as oily or sweaty. All around it’s a very mediocre product, honestly i’d suggest spending the extra couple dollars and getting another primer! One more comment, I do typically love essence products, I swear by their waterproof mascara. However, this product just didn’t hit like the rest..

I love essence products they are affordable and great quality this primer holds your makeup in places. Glides smoothly on the skin leaving a flawless finish and based for your foundation just a little pump not too much and everything sits perfect

It works better than the milk primer and it didn’t feel heavy or clogging, I wash my face with a face wash then I apply my moisturizer (I use purito Bambo skin barrier) and sunscreen then when all of that dries up I apply the primer, let it dry again then I apply my usual makeup foundation concealer etc. but I could definitely see a glow and the make up does stay for the whole day plus it feels light on the skin unlike many other primers I’ve tried before, keep in mind I have dry and sensitive skin but I believe the routine I’m using also adds up to the equation that’s why I didn’t see any cracking or patcheness in the foundation, essence will always have my heart overall 10/10 would recommend.

Best primer I've ever used, it's seriously changed how my makeup looks and it's all for a tiny price. Literally don't know why people pay £10+ for primers when things like this exist. I have combination to oily skin and have issues with my makeup going cakey or sliding off my face no matter how good of a foundation formula I use. This stuff has been an absolute lifesaver and has kept my makeup on for several hours without issue. It's even great just using it as eyeshadow primer even though they do the stick version for eyes, it's the same thing really. A nice fresh smell as well, no awful floral fragrance or heavy perfume scent. Cannot recommend this enough.
